What's the right tool for the job?

A hand held hacksaw was my first thought, too. You can pick up a hacksaw frame for something like $11, IIRC. Even if I'm wrong, they're not expensive.

Saw blades are available at your local Homeless Despot. 24 teeth per inch (TPI) should be about right. 32 TPI will do it, but may cut a little slower. 18 TPI will cut faster, but it will also torque around if you're just holding on to the bones with your hand.

That's done really good info to have. Thank you.

I found a hacksaw blade has teeth that are too fine......they will clog.
Best thing I've used is a PVC saw. Teeth are larger and further apart. You can find them for ~ $10.
We go through TONS of bones!!
