What's the scariest looking knife?

The Battle Sickle from Laci Szabo gets my vote, although he has quite a few other knives that would fit here as well.

The Corkum Street Hawk. It's not really a knife, but check it out and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Scariest looking knife???

What about this......

.....a double bladed Spyderco Civilian SS?

To me that Steve Ryan is quite disturbing. But the Laci Szabo stuff is also pretty frightening. I like Ferret's work too...he's a wicked little weasel! ;)

Ferret gets my vote:

Thought those Strider Nightmares could do the job too...

In a production blade I would have to vote Civilian or a Cold Steel Desperado. I would probably run the fastest away from a true Japanese sword wielded by someone that knew what they were doing.:)

It's so scary I don't even carry it anymore!

LOL!:D

It is a pretty freaky looking blade....I bet it scares sheeple half to death. On the other hand, it seems like it would be very effective in cutting rope and other jobs like that.:)

Size seems to be a big factor for sheeple, but then again so does wierd styling like with the Gil Hibbin knives. One sheeple relative of mine was describing what was probably a knockoff of a Hibbin design and telling me how scary it was and how it should be illegal and only a psycho would own one but I guess it was a good thing because then he was ok with my CS Recon Tanto which was mild in comparison. :D

For me the scariest knife is the one that I think will do the job in an emergency but breaks or otherwise fails. So far I haven't encountered it though.:D

You know, it would cut rope fast, but as a knot geek, it would be a long way from my first choice as a rope knife. See the knife section of my knot page for why.

It's always seemed to me the perfect job for the civilian would be cutting vines and stalks in a garden - tough fibrous stuff that you've got to reach out to, hook, and slash. I suspect that's NOT what the designers of the knife had in mind, though :D

Any Large Fixed Blade knife or Sword in the hands of someone who knows what they are doing. ;)

According to the book and Spyderco Forum, dr. Hannibal Lecter used Harpy, not Civilian. And please, don't follow "National Tatler" example -- I mean that "Hannibal-Cannibal" thing :)
