*What's the smoothes opening production folder?

Another "vote" for the CRKT Crawford/Kasper. They are as smooth as wet ice.

2nd "vote" would go to my REKAT (rolling-lock) folders, AFTER I have "worked" on 'em a little.:).

Microtech LCC.
UNLESS you want to spend money on a Tiknife.
Those are made with a lot of roller bearings.
(designed by Larry Chew, I think)

I'd long thought the Axis lock and in particular the BM 940 to be the smoothest opening production folder, but my new Vallotton DA'd Al Mar Sere 2000 is like butter. And that's in manual mode. ;)

Gotta agree with the guys that say the CRKT Crawford Kasper FF. 3 of the 4 CRKT knives were just as smooth as silk. don't know how they do it but that's one thing they really get right

Both my 4" CS Voyagers open and close as slick as an old Zippo. They also lock solid and show absolutely no wobble even after thousands of openings and closings.

Smoothest "Way" . . . "The Wave", without a doubt.

Smoothest opening (by hand) would be CRK&T KKF, then MT LCC.

smoothest openers --

1) mt crawford kasper ti fighter

2) my BM AFCK 800BT, smoothest production knifer around imho, and my BM 800S is a close #3
