What's the Worst Damage Done to a RAT?

I'm looking for who has the most amount of damage on their RAT knife. Not flat-out intentional abuse as in cutting with a torch or batoning through steel, just "normal" knife use that has taken a toll on the knife. We know they're tough, so let's see some hard-used knives.

EDIT: Let's not damage our knives just to boast about the toughness. Sorry Noss.

Jeff has posted a picture of an RC-3 one of the Peruvian instructors has...but I can't find the pic. It's the most used knife IN GENERAL I've seen. Good stuff.

Any pictures of one being beat through a steel pipe ;)

I started a post your users picture thread maybe a week ago, it went over like a lead balloon, I'll go dig out my pics from that thread and repost 'em here, and my knife has no damage what-so-ever, just character marks ;)

I heard Crowdog once used the RC-3 to clean his toenails. There wasn't anything left to take pictures of :( I take pictures of all my knives dancing with treasure trolls and wearing pink ribbons, and store them in a hermetic chamber. No damage here. On a serious note. I couldn't even find a picture doing multiple google searches with different terms etc. I have heard rumors but never seen pictures. Good luck.

Found the thread, it had more replies with pics than I had remembered. Looking at my Izula and looking at a few months old scar on one of my finger, I believe it has done more damage to me, then me to it (and that is why it is unwise to whittle hard wood late at night.) I haven't done anything too abusive or crazy with it, I have batoned with it and use it to put a hole in a soda can that had been deformed to where the tab wouldn't opened it, other than that it hasn't seen too heavy of use, and these "character marks" have been collected over a long time.

Sorry Bro... My RC blades tend to look pretty much new, if I am going to do something stupid, or beat on a blade, it aint gonna be my Rat's. Hell thats what they much Ontario knives for :D

The only thing that's happened to mine are the coatings getting destroyed--my RATs are otherwise in tip-top condition. :)

Worst damage? Broke it.
about 15mm of the tip snapped of while I was prying with full body weight applyed.
you can call me dumbass.

Michael

But.. but... that wouldn't be nice. Oh hell, you said it was okay. Dumb ass! :D

Just kiddin'. What did you do with the knife after you broke it?

Placed it in my display case to remind me of my mistake and got a new one from rat :jerkit: No asking warranty (sending the knife back to RAT was too expensive from germany).

Afterwards I bougt a desert tan Izula and a RC4 :p

Regards
Michael

I meet a recruiter at an Army ROTC office, he told me a story about a guy he knew that he said he could lock up in a padded room with an 8 lb cannon ball and come back a few hours later to find that he had either eaten it, broke it, or lost it, he never told me the guy was from Germany.
