A "Tomb Raider" automatic OTF. It was in 2007 and cost less than $10. The blade had some much play it was laughable and it wouldn't take an edge at all. Any 12-year-old that saw it though it was cool, though.
I'm pretty amazed at the different experiences people have had.
One poster mentioned Gerber's customer service was poor. I'm not a big fan of their knives, but I do have a few that are USA-made. I've used their customer service twice and it was exceptionally good.
I've had a few SAKs (not fakes) and the only problem I ever had was the plastic scales breaking.
Kinda surprised a couple folks mentioned the Benchmade 940. I have had a 941 for a long time and it's one of my absolute favorites. It's been used a lot and sharpened several times. Absolutely no issues except having to loctite the pivot after a few years. I supposed any knife can have a factory defect, but more than one person mentioned it.
