I tell you what it is.
If you're not rich, the worst thing about knife collecting is to click the "send money" button to buy a knife and then, a few hours later, see others now for sale that you also want but now the money is gone:mad::D
I'll explain, due to a few threads on here i bought a Sacha Thiel Officer wich, i have no doubt, is a great knife but after sending the money i saw other two that i also want and it is killing me:D
Man this addiction is crazy!
Has this ever happened to you?
Any good stories to tell?:)
Please share your thoughts.

Thanks for looking:)

That was my first thought, not enough money for them all. I saw a ZT 121 for $135 about a month ago. $50 cheaper than I'd ever seen it. But it was holiday time and i had no money for myself. I'll get it one of these days.

My wallet and me have a shaky Relationship you see I like knives my wallet likes money my wallet hates knives.
But really I think the hardest part is when some one asks you "how much you pay for that?" And you say oh $60
"What you paid $60 bucks for that?" And then you tell them no its a good deal and it gose on...............

I'd have been on that like white on rice in a glass of milk on a paper plate during a snow storm.

I know i really wish i could have. Money was way too tight at the time though. It pains me every time.i think about it.

She will be mine. Oh yes, she will be mine.
One day....:(

The truth is that this EDC lineup will likely look different in a couple weeks....

To caught on hype and go rampage on the shopping JUST to realize you just don't feel the knives much.
Plus the difficulty of getting rid of it.

Know yourself and go get it.

Im not rich and the hobby is very taxing for my budget.

What I hate is how I always feel the need to have at least one backup to knives I really like, so a $100 knife to me is $200 and it adds up quick. Im always drawn to limited/sprint runs and if I only have one, I tend to keep it mint unless I own a backup. These are things I bring upon myself, not blaming anyone other than myself.

The worst part of knife collecting is that it is like a black hole. Once you are in, there is no getting out. That and your wallet gets thinner, and thinner, just like the spaghettification effect.

Awesome quote! The worst part for me is deciding that I NEED a certain knife, fixating on it, spending money that I shouldn't have, and then being let down when I finally get it. That's a Major Payne!

Yupp...

I bought a Spyderco Native 5 a while ago.
During that, the Spyderco Techno was out of stock. (And had been for over a month)
Therefore, I couldn't accurately know the price.
I bought the Native 5, then 3 days later, guess what was in stock and affordable?
...............

I was involved in watch collecting and those guys are worse than knife collectors.

Worst thingS about knife collecting:
1) not enough money for the ones that I want
2) too many that I want that are hard to find
3) I can't carry and use all of my nice knives
4) too many knives to keep sharp

I think the worst thing about knife collecting (if you've been collecting for awhile) is buying what's hot only to have to sell at halve price when they're not.
