What's this blade's coating??

Recently acquired this because it looked interesting but I have no idea what the coating is or if it's some kind of unusual blade material. So I thought I'd show it to you guys and see what all ya'll thought.

Its a copper color throughout even in the bushing hole. Any ideas?
 
The color does not show up well on my screen. Copper color... could it be Buckote aka Ion Fusion? Some of them had a champaign colored blade.

I'm guessing that blade is just out of the heat treat and has not been cleaned up, and it doesn't appear to have an edge ground yet.
 
I cant really tell the color from the pictures. It looks like the date code is for 2001? (upside down staple). During this timeframe we were still doing the Gray TiA1n Ion Fusion and Champagne ZrN and I bet that blade is one of those. I think I can see a faint stripe behind the rivet hole? Thats indicative of a blade thats gone through the Ion Fusion process. That stripe is where the blade was "clamped" to the fixture before it went into the machine.
