I always call them blade stops. Some blade stops are designed to also be thumb studs, but not all of them.

On the umnumzaan it is a thumb stud serving dual purpose as a stop pin
On other knives it could just be a thumb stud or even just a stop pin(as in the Strider SnG),

Or, on the Cryo, it could serve as neither. That's one reason I gave mine away.

On the SnG it’s a literal pin through the blade, so I’ve always called it a stop pin. On the Hinderer, I just called em thumb studs.
