I just read a rumor about a couple of knife companies joining/merging on KnifeCenter News. I can guess who this is but does anybody know more? Just curious.

Oregon tactical knifemaker= BENCHMADE

El Cajon based grandaddy knives= BUCK

Benchmade+Buck= ATS34, G10 handled 110 that STILL can't be taken apart!

It will be interesting to say the least.

Interesting, definitely. Is this a equal merger between the two, I wonder, or is one going to take a dominant management role?

Is everybody sure that it is Benchmade? I thought maybe Kershaw was also a possibility?! Anybody know?

Hmmm . . . Since we're not stockholders, our "need to know" is limited. Meanwhile, I'll just imagine a Benchmade auto with a 1.9" blade, made in El Cajon, CA, for sale to us CA commoners!

I talked to Les DeAsis at Benchmade today. He says it's news to him. But he got a good laugh from the idea of the tactical 110 that you still can't take apart!

I'm pretty sure Kershaw is a Japanese held company now. 'Could be wrong though...

Hmmm, Advanced Folding Crosslock Knife?

Maybe an Axis Lock 110?

How about Almar and Buck? Al mar is an oregon based company, who isn't doing very well I believe. It could be a good candidate for a merger. It would be nice if Al Mar came out with their beautiful field knives again. Then again, I haven't even read the rumor on knifecenter.
