If I slept with a knife in my hand I would cut myself and my wife all to pieces so no knife. " On my nightstand" is my S&W .40 with 155 gr. Hydrashok, oh and other various knives and flashlights, the rest of the guns are in the drawer. My kids now 15, 13 were taught from the time they were old enough to walk how to use and respect guns, I have never had a problem with them, they are more responsible ( with guns ) than most adults I know.
