Not much action so thought I might post. ;) Hope to shoot some guns, I have a few goats due to give birth so I'll be sticking close to home. Also need to finish painting a couple rooms we recently had sheetrocked and maybe go on a hike if the weather holds.

Not much, I get to work all weekend.

It's how I pay the bills, but there are times the saddle chafe's a bit.

I did expend some money on tools from Lee Valley from my bonus check. Trying to build a stash of good quality woodworking tools.

Of course I am addicted to stuff, it's bad when you question everything you do in the light of "Is this good to do or just another expression of my addictions"?

Work on cabin, work on kitchen floor, work on 4 wheelers....seems to be a pattern here.

Working this weekend, my days off, "weekend" is Tuesday and Wensday. Actually I like it that way.

Estate Gun Auction :D

Mostly beaters, just my kind of rifles and maybe a shotgun. I hope to get the Remington Nylon 66, but since there is a Remington lever action there, I fear some collectors will show up and bid the bejezus out of it. :(

But, I'll see a couple of friends, and pretend I can buy stuff.

Heading up to NH for a short backpack. Meeting up with my two best friends. This is our annual trip to make sure we still get to see each other as the years go by... :D

Supposed to be good weather here in New England. Not sure about the rest of the world, but it feels like the sun hasn't shined here in months.

Have a great couple of days, everyone...

Going to do some more to my Avalanche...there's always something to mod. :D

house hunting. Good God, I hate it. I live in IN, fiance lives in KY. She graduates in may and my busy season starts in a week or so. we have to find a place to move directly into the first week of may or else the house thing will have to wait until next fall. I'm just too busy. Then the wedding in october...<sigh>. Wish me luck, fellas;) I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Jake, are we invited to the wedding?? :D We'll behave and just hang out in back at the cantina. :D

Work work and more work. Have to get this apartment clean and all of my stuff organized. Might find time to make it to the range though.

Kismet,

Sounds great! I am hopefully springing a Ruger Mark 1 with the 6+ in barrel out of layaway this weekend. I also have one of the old 7.7's. Cool guns!

My oldest son has a 2 day soccer tournament up in Lodi, so that is where I'll be. It was 70 degrees and sunny all week till now ~ the good Lord decided it should rain all weekend :grumpy: :D

Kis, I am still looking for that old Svea stove~ I didn't forget. I just haven't found it yet  :( Have fun looking at all the old guns. I used to have one of the Remington Nylon 76 leverguns when I was a kid. My dad sold it ($100)when I was in HS when the trigger assy/firing mechanism started not working and he couldn't find replacements. Now with the internet it would be no prob to find them, and the dang thing would be worth a mint :barf: Oh well.

Sure:D anyone that is in the Louisville area on October 15th is more than welcome to crash the wedding. Trust me, it'd be a welcome relief for me. The in-laws are doing the "invite every single member of the church" thing and most of the guests at MY wedding i won't know. Ya'll can sit on my side with my family and friends. You'll know them by the unshaven faces, out dated clothes, and the couples making out in the back row while the rev. talks. The fiance's side will be the ones that look like they are in shock with their mouths gaping;) BYOK (bring your own khuk)

I'll be here, but I try not to do weddings, I hate to see some poor guy get rolled like that :(

However I do know where some sweet hiding spots are, I have this one spot that I guarantee you won't be found for a month of comfortable living (old limestone quarry...)

Kis- you are totally right about the Remington Nylon 66. It was my dream gun as a kid, I finally got one (1974-5?). In the 70's Remington sold these cans of .22 ammo called "5 Pounders". It had decorative art on the can, and was a good buy besides. My bro-in-law & me would just shoot til we ran out.

My Nylon 66 never, ever, jammed once. I shot it way dirty and it just kept shooting.

I should get another. Yes, I should.

Ad Astra

Jake, watch out- I'd crash a wedding if only to see the cake cut by a YCS...

My big event for the weekend was the gun and knife show I just got back from. One of stands had four or five books on the Gurkhas. Just my luck that I was short on cash and they couldn't take credit cards. :grumpy:

Taxi driver for daughter & friend.

Waiting for the first of 4 baby budgies to leave the nestbox any day now.

Turning a ton of my garage-junk into a ton of attic-junk
so we can get the garage floor-slab repoured.

Ending the Fast tomorrow night.

Looking forward to the B I G 'Arms' show in a couple of weeks.

Work on a couple of knives for me. Try to finish my Knife in the Hat that is going to Brian Goode from over in the Shop Talk Forum. Also finish cutting out Howard Wallace's prize knife, man that is a lot of S7 to cut through ;) .
