Going to email the admin on this one.

Pretty low of you Mwctexas and I don't feel you should deserve a place in the market...

I sent him $750 last night. He didn't respond until this morning and said if I didn't send him $10 more he wouldn't sell to me. I was at work and didn't see it until later in the day and he refunded back the amount and said he'd never sell to me...

Pretty rude if you ask me. I entirely pissed off right now and can't believe that just happened.

Without knowing the backstory, I can't say much, but you may be lucky missing out on someone who seems so erratic.

What i'm getting from reading the sales thread is that Hans17 sent the $750 but failed to include anything for the +3% paypal fees the buyer asked for in his add. I'm assuming that the sale was refused because of this.

One reason to read all sales adds thoroughly before jumping the gun with an "i'll take it" and sending payment.

I have to say Hans17, that the problem was likely on your end.

Nope, he agreed with me via PM that I could gift it no problem.

I have the PM's saved if you'd like me to show them.

Quite frankly I think he purposely did this just to be a prick knowing how badly I wanted the knife. He really didn't give me any other reason other than I asked too many questions about it and he didn't like that.

He was basically bribing me $10 to allow him to sell to me. Had nothing to do with fees.

FYI, I won't comment on this dispute, but if it does not get resolved, there are a couple of Bodegas for sale on one of the dealer websites (forgot which) that I just saw today. At higher price, unfortunately.

Thank you for the heads up. I was only able to even ALMOST purchase one because of the price. At $750 I was already spending almost a months pay and couldn't afford anything more at this time. I'm a used market hunter haha.

Once again, PayPal rules prove their value. We won't enforce them, but we do try to explain them.

If you accept PayPal, roll any fees, along with shipping costs and insurance, into the total price you ask for the item. If it doesn't sell, lower that total price as necessary to attract a customer.

This eliminates a lot of misunderstanding, and preserves your integrity with PayPal. Using the gift option especially loses you PayPal protections.

I understand them and how it works. I only gifted because he has good feedback already. I know the risks involved. He refunded my money but the problem is him being a dick and not selling to me but then lowering the price to my offer and willing to sell to anyone else for no reason. I had already stated I'll take it and sent full payment as previously agreed upon.

Well Hans17.....
The seller has contacted me about this....
All i'm going to say about it is apparently you also have some lessons to learn about how to interact with others.
You will cease sending the member any more harassing emails/pm's

The long and the short of the matter is:
Any seller reserves the right not to sell to anyone for any reason.
The seller was in no way obligated to sell you anything.
