What's up with lone wolf?

I found this is a search:

Loveless City Knife is made by Fantoni in Italy

Also I did a search of BF and from comments made some months ago, it's clear the MSRP has dropped at least once if not twice for many of their models.

The president of Lone Wolf was at A. G. Russell's Grand opening a couple of years ago. He said that the knives are hand finished, as well as put together by "skilled craftsmen" implying that although the parts may be manufactured out of the country, they are hand assembled in the States. Some of their higher priced items (some of which have been discontinued) did have the quality of a custom knife, in my opinion. The original Vallotton D/A auto knife was right on par with a custom by the Vallottons themselves, or at least the proto they had on display was.

This might be the reason for such a high asking price on some of the models, although I have no idea if they have continued to create the knives in the way I originally heard about.

I bought one of their Paul folders and although the craftsmanship is good the blade steel was 420 which was dissapointing for a $100 knife.

The city knife is a slipjoint. It is made in italy, says so on the blade and gives the italian makers mark. It's kind of funny, but the knife is branded by loveless, lone wolf and the itilain maker; not often there are three marks on one small slipjoint. I just checked their site, the MSRP is $99, same as it was 18 months ago. It appears the blade now has a different logo, so maybe they are on a second production.
