So it seems like a great little knife, but doesn't seem to get a lot of forum "air-play". So what's the deal, is this little knife as little and as comfortable as they get? I hear it holds well, but only from a handful of people/posts that are available.

How does everyone feel about the price?
Only stainless? bummer.

Thank you for anyone who has a couple of cents to toss my way.

buy the g10 handle byrd robin instead for $20.

LOL, the Lava has had SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much airtime in the past... Huge threads, several reviews, ect. Pretty much everything to be said, has been said. ;)

It fits the hand well, I have a big hand and it was comfortable, I just didn't like the blade... not stabby enough for me

They are not a bad little folder at all. I just did one over in black linen Micarta for a friend out in California and it turned out pretty good. Went from 3.1 ounces factory to 1.6 ounces afterwards and was basically a pretty classy lookin' litttle folder when I got done redressing it. There are not many knives in that size range that fit my hand but that one feels pretty good. I'm feeling a bit regretful for letting the one I had go without thinking about doing it over in some new clothes first. May have to get another now. Its a good choice among the other 50 state legal carry folders available I think.

Yeah, just noticed a couple more posts. Just going to have to keep on telling myself that I don't "need" it until I come to the ultimate conclusion that I do.

Thank you.

Sal said the release of Chad's Boker designs kind of took the wind out of the Lava's sails. They are much simpler designs which can be made to sell for much less than the Lava with the offset back lock, which is an engineering marvel when you really look at it.

The Lava is a nice little knife, but I prefer narrower blades on my small folders, and I prefer almost anything to SS handles.

Did you make some steel liners to put in the micarta? Because there aren't any liners in the regular SS version is there?
