What's up with Zero Tolerance's New Knife?

I'm not sure I understand. So you have never said something like "I don't know what company X was thinking when they designed that?"

Subtle was the serpent. I should have phrased the entire thread like that and maybe avoided the midget wrath of the mean kids. But I made a new friend today, looking at you PG. :D

Man... you really can't stop with the under-handed insults, huh?

I think it looks like a badass, practical design. I think 'basic' is missing alot of time in the knife world. I guess I'm a sucker for simple. YMMV.

Relax. That is a nice knife, I like it in the hand, the sweep of the blade, it's very utilitarian to boot that wasn't even the design I had a problem with.

I brought up my dislike of One knife, one design, not the whole company and certainly not the posters.

A question was asked earlier about blade thickness and I never saw a response. But the 0170 has the .125" thick blade, while the 0160 has a thicker blade. Don't remember the exact thickness, but seems like it was in the 3/16" range?

As far as the design goes I like it very much. As someone already said it looks like a basic, all around, usable knife. I like clip points, and I like the straight lines of this knife. I will be getting one.:)

Oh man, that ZT0170 looks amazing! Do you like it more then the Nimravus?
I like the ZT 0170 more. While the fit and finish are vastly superior, I'd still choose the Nimravus as a user since it's smaller and lighter and more suited to my tasks. But I think that this knife has better value.

The Nimravus in my opinion is a bit overpriced considering that there are plenty of stainless fixed blades with comparable steel and superior handle materials for less.

Woh nelly, that ain't 0160...that's one of the good lookin ZT's.

If I were you I'd shut up pretty quick. You can sit and poke the bear all you want but unless you can find you wits you'll never see the bear coming back for vengeance. YMMV.
You're doing this to piss people off and nobody likes a troll, if you want to have an intelligent discussion, please do, but don't come on here to be a troll.

Reno is so close to hell you can see Sparks, love that town.

:thumbup:Thomas, sorry about pissing you off, it was just relayed to me that you work for Kershaw so your point of view makes more sense now. You should have said that to begin with bro :D

Alrighty then seems no good (except Apec's awesome pics of a really nice ZT) is coming from this thread so have a good night folks. :)

If anyone gets the knife mentioned at the beginning of this thread please post pics, I'd love to see how that looks in hand.

care to elaborate? Or is this where the kershaw posse is going to ride in on the white horses

yeah, after re-reading some of my phrasing, i guess that could have been more positive, i really didn't mean any disrespect.

the condescending posts of the "kershaw mafia" usually do a good job of making me walk away from the cpu, this case is no different.

Hard for me to draw that conclusion. First, I haven't had the chance to see one. And second, I haven't even seen any street prices, only the MAP.
I was pretty certain that when dealing with ZT MAP (not to be confused with MSRP) = street price

MAP = Minimum Advertised Price. This is why a lot of on-line dealers have "email or call for price" where the price should be listed. And if you look around, you can find ZTs for under MAP.

I love my town, I can fish, ride my quad, ski, and go camping all within 60 miles of my house, and we have very relaxed knife laws.
Ok "The Chef", you're still being a prick. You started this thread to bitch and complain about a knife, then you tried to stir up the mafia with your comments, now you're acting all buddy buddy with PG and Thomas, and expect us to let it go unanswered. You started the thread with poor intentions, don't try to hide that by kissing asses.
