That's one helluva pimpin' interior. You da man.

Haven't got a car, but even if I had one, I probably wouldn't put knives everywhere. New driver, still getting pulled over a lot, etc.

The knives I have on me, a pair of sticks, 2 flashlights, wrist compass, emerson la griffe.

Brownie

Spyderco Dyad Jr. hanging from the rearview in a kydex sheath, CS Peacekeeper between seat and console, and a 19-LED C.Crane Expedition in the console.

T -- I'm willing to bet good money that your cassette is the Grateful Dead. :D

I have a 5-D Maglite beside me in my Ford Ranger Pickup. Behind me attached to a tool bag is a pre-98 FRN/SE Endura and a PE/FRN Jess Horn. In the glove box is a SAK Soldier and a small Buck.

Why yes it is, and a Dancin' Bear/Steal Your Face in the window and Skeleton with Roses Medallion on the dash, but ya can't see them here.

Ain't nothin' like listen to the Dead and sharpening blades.

dozier pro guide stuck between drivers seat and center console thingy. also either bm 940 or 800 tucked in visor-drawing your knife from your pocket while sitting in a car is a PITA.

Sak rucksack in the glove box
4-D maglight behind seat drivers side
E-Tool behind seat pass side
Busse Badger attack under drivers seat

Those of you who've been here a while have heard me say it before, but everytime this topic comes up I feel compelled to remind people that in an accident everything you have in the car with you can and will become airbourne. In my accident, the car rolled over three times. Every compartment, glove box, arm rest, ashtray, etc., came open and spilled its contents into the air around me. I was very fortunate not to be injured by anything flying around me.

Velcro? Double-sided foam tape? Suction cups? All useless agaist the forces in a violent accident.

My rule is this: if you wouldn't want to get in the head with it, either bolt it down or put it in the trunk.

A Gerber EZ Out in the map pocket, a Kabar under the seat with a small PSK attached, a Leatherman in the glove box.

Hey T. what's in the Pringles can on the floor? That could be holding a concealed weapon for sure!:D

Gollnick said something very well. What do I have within reach in my truck? a chunk of steel in my holster that spits +Ps. And it won't bounce around more than I will while belted in.

Gollnick,

Shoot, I carry most of my tools in my truck, as my company is too tight to spring for a company vehicle, and I don't have a topper yet. I guess I could get a water-proof toolbox for the bed.

I do carry several slipjoints in the glove-box, and an Ontario Pilots Survival knife under my seats. That one could probably hurt if it went flying...

Well, since i use knives as tools and not weapons, the only thing i have in reach, and the only thing i think i'll ever need to defend myself in my car is a 9mm loaded with 124 gr. +p Golden Sabers. I keep it very accessable wedged above my driver's side visor, very quick to get to if i need it, yet it cant be seen and so is "concealed" as per the law requires here in FL.

I admit though, if i lived somewhere where i wasn't "allowed" to have a gun in my car, i would have some sort of fixed blade, maybe a Strider.

Gollnick is right. Been there, done that. In an accident, particularly a roll over, that Bud Nealy of Ts could very well wind up stabbing him in the throat.

For sure (Gollnick etc).

Also, I wouldn't be altogether comfortable about the impression that kind of setup would make on an LEO in a given area.

Although, I suppose you could offer them a Pringle as an icebreaker, sort of thing.
