What's worse...

Having owned and lost is MUCH WORSE. I ended up paying an $800 premium to get the original MOAB back. The whole time it was away was pure horror. (Oh, the horror. The horror!)

I have vowed to never sell (or trade) another one of my Busses again. I'll sell everything else I own before I ever part with another one.

Some may say that 'It is better to have had and lost, than to have never to have had at all.' To all of those I can only say, "You have never had, so you cannot know." :)

Never-the-less......NO REGRETS!

Wow, this applies to a lot of things in life, not just INFI.

If you only knew the horror,i am typing through tears now

I had the full B.A.R.F set also :(:(

Sometimes the memories hurt more....

I can see why....the horror is right. I hope you've got a few of those left anyway.

I guess it really depends on your definition of worse or the context. I feel sorry for anyone into knives who hasn't had the chance to put INFI to the test, but not nearly as sorry for someone else who has had to sell off a sizeable collection. Having said that, I have to agree that having owned and lost is much worse than never owning at all. If you never had/experienced something then you never knew the joys of it, you only lusted or wanted for it. Losing something you loved is much worse than never loving at all.

A wise man once said:

"No Regrets!"

"Let's drink!"

I'd say it is better to have love and set it free. If you love something enough sometimes, you see it is better off with someone that will have more time to take good care of it even if it is not you...

Sometimes "Less" is "More" .... if you keep what you like the best and which works the best .... you've no reason to have "regrets" ....

The secret is to determine which is which ... before you sell them ... ;) if you make that error then it is definately "worse" to have owned and lost .... than to have never owned .... you don't miss what you have never had ....

Watching someone else swing a BM that used to be yours, into a tree, has to be up there with a friend telling you a first hand account of how he "gave it" to some ex-girlfriend that dumped you.

This is true. The ones I use have never come into question. As poor as I may get, selling my NMFBM LE would never cross my mind.

I say owning and losing is worse. It is true from my opinion that if you don't know what your missing, then it is OK. Ever owned a nice car...then had to downsize? Ever driven a nice car...then get into a junker?

I have done both. I am OK with what I have now, but when you go from huge space and room, to half the size and are in the vehicle for any good period of time, you feel it. Drive a big brown package car for 9.5 a day and then get into your little Accord and it feels like a Martian car!

On the knives......has anyone ever had a knife blade break on them from hard use? I will bet nickles to dollars if it did break it wasn't a Busse! If it was.... you were doing something NO knife could/should be able to hold up to ;)

Can't lose the Hog family though, so better to have and had and gone than to have never had at all. They'll come back around.

Now if I can just remember exactly where I left them.

The Four ZTs, the Infamous Fat Bastard a true 5/16ths triple ground straight Badger and a few choice others have gone Walkabout some where at my house, they took a Pair of Ak's
with them when they went.

An Odd set of things to lose in a little 1,600 square foot house.

Well, no, you are choosing to give up or selling your knife, so it's more like you breaking up with a girl. So if someone says to you that he is with your ex, you can smile back and say "Been there done that"

Everyone else is saying that it's worse to have known and given up, so it's better off to not have known. Well, if that's like saying ignorance is bliss, so how come more people don't wish that they were stupid and happy.
I would personally rather know the truth and accept it for what it then to be not know the truth and be happy.

Holy Crap, are these actual pearls of wisdom from liu Kang???

I tell you Dan......Those night classes are finally paying off! :p

I agree with Dan on this one ;)

You know what they say "ignorance is bliss".

For me, I am glad that I have owned some, even if only for a brief moment, just so I know how they feel in my hand. I don't regret any knife sale I have made and will not regret selling others if and when the need arises. With very few exceptions, you can always get it back one day.

It's better to have the remnants of a good collection that you can now afford.
