I don't have a single prob with Whatabeaut. It's just there have been tmes where I watch auctions and he tries so hard to win and gets nosed out.

It's like a horse race...Whatabeaut in the lead...coming around into the straight...here comes Bidder-X catching up...Whatabeaut held the lead until now...Whatabeaut beat by a nose!

My experiences have been just the opposite...I usually get outbid by whatabeaut...or arksknives...or...[I forget his name...DarrylS - what's the 3rd big Buck bidder???)... :confused:

In fact, whatabeaut is bidding on a 110/112 transition knife right now...and has already gone past my ceiling... :grumpy:

Edit: My mistake; pappykacks has the transition up for <private> bid; it was a V52 selector...or was it the 500 Duke??? I can't keep track... :(

:cool: ...Not real sure right now Trax...Honesttom been right there with all the big spenders too though...Then there was that woman who was driving ya nuts on the "Bay"...can't remember her name either...Just wait til I get that inheritance ( lottery ) I'll snap up ALL of the Buck knives on the "Bay"...Heck...Maybe I'll buy the "Bay"...LMAO...Guess if I had all the money in the world I'd buy more Bucks...I just wouldn't sell 'em for that almighty profit...Just got beat out on a 112 NS and I'd wager I'll see it up for grabs in a short time...:confused:...Oh well...I'll make the better half happy by just watchin' for a spell...:eek: :eek: :D

That 110/112 transition went for $110...Just about right, methinks... ;)

A V52 Selector went for $45.60...I dunno; that seems a bit high, especially without the drop-point blade...

:cool: ...I'll be darned if I can remember her name...This was back quite some time and it seemed that every knife you were bidding on for parts she bid on as well...More often than not her bid was slightly more than yours...LOL...I lost that 112 today by a little over a dollar but I'll bet they woulda outbid me no matter what I'd a' bid...:( ...Gotta keep looking for a 112 NS...and hope a lot of folks are sleeping when it comes up...

Well, you can get a new brass 112 for ~$36, and a new NS 112 for ~$46...so why pay new prices for used merchandise??? That's my theory, anyway... ;)

I have bought from and trade with Whatabeaut. EXCELLENT.
That 110 FG was too high for me though. I'm in the lower levels of 110 collecting :D

...Yep, most of mine are "standard issue"...Being the "traditionalist" that I am...I tend to shy away from the more exotic treatments that are gaining popularity among the ranks of 110 collectors...If it ain't wood n steel it normally doesn't catch my eye...I do like the other "natural" components though...stag, bone, horn, antler...Not into etching or plating either...I must be some kinda weirdo huh?...:rolleyes: :p

Not a weirdo,
we all cant like the same girl...
I only have the one Buffalo handled one the rest are all wood.
A handfull of etches and gold plated
