What's wrong with me?

Not all that long ago, I thought spending $100 on a knife was absurd. Then I started buying Cold Steel and Bark River knives in the $150-180 range. And I say Busses and thought that $300 for a knife was just too much.

Then I bought an SAR8 from Skunk. Complete with a Chuddy Bear sheath that all by itself cost more than I was willing to spend on a knife five years ago

Then a BAD from the exchange.

Then ordered a KZII.

Then bought an SAR3 from Skunk.

And then hunted down a CF BWM on the WTB forum.

Then ordered a CABS.

And now, ANOTHER CF BWM off the exchange, just because I don't know if they'll ever be made again and I absolutely love and intend to beat the snot out of the first one.

Top that off with the half a dozen Bark Rivers I own (and another ten or so I have owned and sold or given away as gifts), and I've spent quite a decent chunk of change on knives in the last few years.

And for some reason I don't regret it.

That's not normal, is it?

(For the record, I'm not a big fan of Cold Steel anymore, having found the limited production hand-ground knife world. I only own two of them now).

Welcome to the madness. I started off buying scrapyards, then swamprats, then Busses...before you know it your buying every new Busse release.

Nothing different than the rest of us - No self control and broke:eek:

No more for me this year... got a roof to replace.

...unless something satin and snakeskin shows up for the right price... ><

Skrapmetal...please read my former posts regarding the addiction you speak of. Get some help asap. The borrower is subject to the lender!

Normal is relative. In this place, at this time, you are normal.

IMHO there is No Such Thing as NORMAL...Normal is a setting on a washing machine!!!! YMMV, Just my 2c.

So there is nothing wrong with you, if the aquiring of FINE Cutlery brings you happiness and joy, then what is the problem? If you are trading pieces of paper or digital credits for something of substance [i. e. INFI Steel] you are probably more Correct then you think....

That sounds like a challenge. :p

Oh no... definitely not. I can't be throwing money on something that wont get used...

Like a second CF BWM. :foot:

In all honesty, I may end up selling the KZII, since it probably wont see much use now that I've fallen in love with these CF BWMs.

Those CF BWM's are sweet.:thumbup::thumbup:

I have kept my spending on pretty tight lock down.

I have only purchased out right about 3. Traded for two, which I sold and traded into 3.

Right now I have 4, and the CABS on order.

That covers about 3 years. So I think I am doing danged good!

I just make sure I buy them cash, or trade.

No credit on Infi, that is my theory. I can't buy them all, but I do need a mid sized user.....

As to the sweetness of the comp finish BWM's they are sweet for sure.

If I was not already rocking the Basic 11, It would be hard to resist. Great handle!!!

Well... It could be worse.. you could be blowing all that money smoking crack!

Now that's a bad investment... Not much re-sale value in dirty, used crack pipes......

1 year ago I had ONE Busse........
Now I have 3 Scrapyard knives, ;)
7 Swamp Rat knives,
and my 15th Busse is on order (LCABS!).....
I think that is starting to get some normality !!

Thanks Banana-clip.

I agree with you...thanks for the great advice !
