Mine, currently and for some time now, is the Benchmade 705 (in particular the Forum version with M2 steel).

I like the feel of it in my hand, the way it cuts and it's flickability :) (10 out of a possible 10).

I will limit this reply to my few production knives. My favorite is the Sypderco small Centofante. Reason, it's small but big enough, light, thin, strong, very pointy, flatground, and opens quickly. I admit its a light duty knife, but it is my fav factory blade hands down. I'm not certain, but I think I read it had been discontinued. Too bad, it's a good design for general office-type (letter and box opening) use. Running a close second is my Kershaw Ken Onion mini-task for its High fun factor :)

My favorite knife I have is a g-10 Police. Favorite wanted yet unattainable, Sebenza. Favorite soon to be, Swamp Rat Battle Rat.

Spyderco Native for lockbacks, Starmate for liner locks.

My favorite is the Microtech Dragonfly. MT tolerances with the simplicity of a balisong. It doesn't get any better. It is by far the sharpest knife out of the box I have ever held. The blade shape lends itself very well to everyday tasks. This knife is a must for balisong friendly states.

Victorinox Pioneer. The two blade model (large and small pen blades) is the closest to perfect pocket knife I've found. It carries flat in the pocket and handles all my EDC cutting chores. There are no exposed corners to wear holes in your pocket. It's a very simple design that just plain works.

Far and away my favorite knife is the modified Benchmade Griptilian quasi-720 in this thread. There are a varity of reasons for this.

- It is (as far as I know) the only knife of its kind in the world. There is something about having the only one of something on the planet that makes it sort of special.

- It has all my favorite design elements: 440C blade, slightly pointy sheepsfoot blade shape, Axis lock, Aluminum handle, ~3.5 inch blade, tip-down carry, and all kinds of nice grippy ridges and protuberances. If I was going to pay somebody to make me a knife from scratch it would end up looking almost exactly like this one.

- I made it myself. I have found that I am never quite as pleased with something that I bought as with something that I made. A practical advantage of this is that I am familiar with every little bolt and part on the thing, and completely confident that I can maintain and repair it as needed.

Everybody should have a knife that they like as much as I do this one.

I have other knives that look cooler, and other knives that were a LOT more expensive, but this BAD is my "go to" knife.

It's small enough I can carry it every day. It's quick and easy to get to. It was inexpensive enough that I don't worry about "abusing" it.

Perfect.

If we are talking absolute favorite then it's my SS/PE Delica. The reasons are, in no particular order:
1. An ergonomic design that fits my hand perfectly.
2. A sturdy lock that doesn't fold under pressure.
3. That beautiful hole in the blade.
4. Perfect blade length, IMO.
5. The customer friendly approach of the people behind the knife.
6. The price vs. quality= excellent value.

My favorite is still my Dozier Straight Hunter. This is the knife I would probably carry every day if fixed blades were more socially acceptable.

You see….. A favorite knife HAS to meet certain prerequisites. First off, it has to have a stag handle. Anything other than stag would cheapen the word favorite. A favorite knife also has to look sexier than Catherine Zeta Jones in that movie where she plays the cat burglar. Not many knives can top her figure in a jump suit. And third, the knife must have a sheath worthy of the knife’s carry. My Straight Hunter sits in a Dozier Wilderness style sheath, one of the most functionally perfect Kydex sheaths ever constructed.

I am a happy boy.

My favorite is my Ontario/Bagwell Hell's Belle "fighting Bowie". Why?...Because when I hold it in my hand, it "takes me back" to the mid 1800's streets and alleys of New Orleans.

Tough question to answer when there are so many knives i like. Not to mention the ones I havent bought yet!:D
I'd have to say among my favourites are my Microtechs: Vector, LCC, and Mini-SOCOM. For production knives their workmanship is impeccable.
It's too bad Microtech hasn't released any new manual folders. Why they discontinued 2 of their best selling manual folders ever (LCC & full sized SOCOM) is beyond me.

Ah, but then there's my CUDA Maxx 5.5.....;)

a 25" wood handled sirupati from HI. It's the one that stands next to my side of the bed at night. Beautiful work by Sher. Deadly beautiful.

1st place goes to my Kershaw Whirlwind because it doesn't require any after market modification. It always opens with a nice healthy shlack!

2nd place goes to my Kershaw Boa. Because it does require modification. I had to bust the safety out with a flathead screw driver because it was useless. Whenever I tried to close it...the damn safety would lock on. The safety was lose, it would slide back and fourth with the tiniest movement.

I really like my Benchmade Escent lockback but it's the hardest to open. The slick plastic on the clip side just doesn't allow a firm grip and it's poorly designed low riding grip makes it near impossible to open, unless you position your index finger above the blade path at the top of the grip. You start to open it up with your thumb and then you find your limb is in the blade's path about half way and you have to use your other hand. But once you've given up on the one hand opening and finally get the blade out with your other hand it's a great feeling knife w/ a perfect blade. It would be perfect if it had grippier grip...

I should've bought an AFCK with the Axis lock.

4 favorites. Emerson Green G-10 Mini Commander, SOG Night Vision, Kershaw Purple and Blue Boa, because they are so comfortable to hold and look cool. Spyderco SE VG-10 Endura because I can beat it up and get another one for 45 bucks at the local sporting goods store.

Just received a Swamp Rat Bandicoot that I like very much.

My current favorite is a Microtech LCC D/A .. It's smooth, solid lock up, liner lock is top notch, fit and finish is great and you have the gadget factor with the D/A feature.

This is real odd as I was thinking about this today. A month ago I posted that the J.W. Smith Scimitar liner lock I have is my favorite......Today that knife is up for sale! Go figure. Course it is up for sale because I have a J.W. Smith framelock scimitar on hold and I am finding out that the framelocks are looking good for me, and that they better fit my carrying pattern. I've also sold several other Smith's in order to pick up a couple more Smith's that are framelocks. Now with all that said; My favorite knife as I type is the LDC-5 that I sent off to John about 6 weeks ago for some modifications. Got it back a week ago and it has been in my pocket since. I had the clip moved up as high on the bolster as it could go so that only an 1/8" of the bolster shows out of my pocket, down from about 1 to 1.5 inches before!! Also had John replace the micarta backspacer with a stainless spacer that simply does a fantastic job of making the knife feel more solid than before.

Definately my favorite!

i love my kershaw scallion

i have an old kershaw fixed blade that i'm strangly dram to. i never get to carry it anywhere though.

As far as a folder, I love my BM 806D2. good size, slim profile, not noticeable in my pocket, great steel, love the finger notch (helps protect from slippage) Great company. ;)
