If you have more than 1 keep it down to about 3

Ill start of i have used a dead fall to kill a squirrel

Also i have made a folding buck saw with small tree branches

So what have you done?

Friction fire was definitely huge for me. I have done it several times with the hand drill and bow drill.

The Tasks that I accomplished in the wilderness that I'm most proud about arn't nessacarily "Bushcraty."

-I've Canoed the entire Length of the Saranac River here in Newyork solo, (Father was with me, but he had his own canoe)
-Harvesting Three squirrels in one half hour with a slingshot while in the Adirondacks.
-Starting a fire with flint and my knife during an actual "Survival Situation." I used a piece of flint that I found at the base of a fallen tree and striked it against the spine of a Mora #1 I had at the time. Kept the fire going all night with some pine scrub. I fed the fire while my buddy and my dad slept in the lean-to we had built. Neither of them were feeling good in the weather so I took it upon myself to left them sleep. I stayed up allnight and read the book I had in my scouting pack Last of the breed by Louis L'amour. I had lost my ferro rod so I had to resort to percussion fire. Wasn't in the mood to fiddle with getting a bowdrill started.

I managed to get my city-love'n wife to love the outdoors. She hasn't really backpacked yet, but I taken her canoe camping and she loved that and doesn't mind sleeping in a tent on a thermarest. Thats my biggest accomplishment.

I'd say setting up a nice figure four trap. I sprung it because I wasn't actually in a survival situation but it was really well made. After that I did a Paiute. I'm still young so I've got lots of time to learn new skills! Tried the bow drill but I don't think I had the right wood. I'll get it this summer...

Keeping 32 way underprepared city slicker students alive at 23 below zero on a winter survival course when the forecast was near zero.

Am still hunting that weatherman.

Skam

Built a log trappers cabin with a Kukri (H.I. M-43 and a camillus pilots survival knife.

Friction fire was huge for me also. Before that it was a ferrous rod fire.My first survival shelter that I actually slept in.

making utensils I would say, thats the only delicate thing that can get me sometimes.

Lived off the land for 2 weeks without a firearm.

I'm not suggesting I ate well every day, but I didn't loose much weight either.

Kind regards
Mick

Life in snow cave maybe.
Oops, there was no bush, only snow.

So nothing particular but for watching Ray Mears vids on youtube, sorry.

Nothing like a lot of you guys, but:

-Lived on forage only for a short (3-day) backpacking trip.
-Semi-permanent debris shelter for a week-long survival outing.
-Built a full-size security gate with a Ka-Bar, an SAK and 550 cord to keep vehicular traffic out of my infantry unit's AO while on FTX.

I'm planning on building a "permanent" shelter near a rock face on the family property. Gonna try to get the wife involved, but she's got knee surgery coming up next month.

great thread idea!!!!
Not really bushcraft, but I field dressed a boar once using mostly an axe. That was fun

I made a big spoon with a pocketknife. Might not be the grandest of scale, but certainly one of the most time consuming and one that I'm especially proud of. I made it on a camping trip, after realising I hadn't brought a spoon with us to stir the stew we were having that night. I still have it in my kitchen and it gets used a lot.

Started a fire with ferro rod and knife, I've done some trail-clearing as well. Can't really think of everything. I'm raking the yard right now, does that count? :)

We did a lot of lashing in the Boy Scouts. I've worked on a tower, a tight rope bridge, etc.

great thread indeed... for me, i would have to say friction fire and/or flint knapping an obsidian point...
