What's your # 2 knife brand if CRK is #1

Since I started buying CRK's several years ago, I've stopped buy less expensive knives as some of you have.I like

Spyderco's and I still do. The last 3- 4 Spydies that I've bought don't get used very often. The amount of $ I spent on the

Spydies could have been used to buy 2 plain jane large 21's or about $850. I really don't need any more CRK's unless

it's something unusual..... Is that going to stop my addiction to CRK's ? :D:)

While I like the CRK brand in total other brands I like certain models
Strider SnG(5), with any handle type-my larger knife
3" Hinderer XM-18 non flipper(2) , spanto or slicer grind-smaller knife
Together with Sebenza's(6) they make up about 95% of my folders

Been buying a bunch of Zero Tolerance lately, particularly the Limited Issues.

Spyderco, but only certain ones. they have such a wide variety and some look a little odd. I like PM2, military, sage, caly, dragon fly, delica... Some others look like they try too hard to work the spydie hole into the design.

Emerson far and away is my non-CRK favorite. I've had north of 40 of them, and my Custom Super Roadhouse is my most expensive knife thus far.

Beautiful knife! Ive always wanted a custom Emerson.

I like so many different production and custom knives, that its hard to pick a number 2. I had a few Shirigorovs and was completely impressed with their build quality. They are fantastic knives(but too expensive) I do like Striders but will admit that their fit and finish is NOT crk quality, although the new "custom" Mick Strider SNGs look to be a new norm maybe coming out across their line up(hopefully).

Striders(14), Hinderer(4),Three Sisters Forge(4), ZT(8), Spyderco(6)
The ones I actually EDC 99% of the time is CRK and Strider.
And no, it will not stop your thirst for more CRK's, don't even ask how many I have.

CRK and Emerson... I want to like striders, but something about them just doesn't fully grasp my interest. I might just pick up a SMF with the gunner grips later this year.

I'm pretty much similar - I had another forum member's SMF for a while (he had one of my Zaan's; he wanted to handle one to see if it was for him) and honestly just couldn't like it.

I have tried a number of high end brands, but CRK is my #1 higher end manufacturer. I still like Benchmades for my lower end stuff. Very consistent heat treats over the years and decent quality.

Emersons and Spydercos for me. If Benchmade stops using Axis locks on almost every knife they make, I'll be 'into' them again someday.

I like Emersons because they don't discourage disassembly (like CRK) and I like the practical steel (like CRK). Emerson's designs are great.

Spyderco, but ONLY militaries.

Same here, as well as a few Lavas :D

The Military is a brilliant design, incredibly light for the amount of cutting edge.

Chris Reeve Knives will ALWAYS be my #1. #2 - I would have to say is a toss up. If I am leaning towards folders, I would have to easily say Hinderer. I have had 14 of the XM's over the years, but only have 1 now. For fixed blades, I would go between Busse and Miller Bros. I have several Busse and love em. I only have 1 MMB but am looking at more.

My tie for #1 is Randall made, for folders no close second…. Bart

For super high quality stuff, I'd probably say Hinderer. But for good, no frills cutting use I'd probably say Spyderco. If I was forced to get rid of my CRKs I could probably get by for years with just a Delica and Military for my folder needs.
