What's your best bang-for-buck value knife?

Tenacious, Delica/Endura, SAKs, All Beckers, Buck 110. None of these are considered collectible except my small collection of old Buck 110's in 440C.

Honestly out of everything I have, probably a couple of Opinel paring knives... I think they were maybe $6 or $7 dollars each and I use them every day in the kitchen. Whenever I go camping I usually slip one in a sidepocket and use it as much as anything else unless I'm saving the world from trees by chopping them in half... :p

love my Ontario RAT-1, I think I got it for about $26

after that maybe the Centofante or the Doziers

All I have are good, value, users. No safe queens here. Use 'em all.

Mora's are tough to beat for the money.
Another vote for the Buck Vantage Pro
Benchmade Pardue Rant - for $50 - steal.

And ... yes I'm bias, but Beckers are a great value. BK 9 for $70 ... tough to beat.

Still another vote for the Buck Vantage Pro as well as the Buck 110 Hunter, Spyerco Tenascious, Persistence, Resilience and Endura 4. Also the Kershaw Blur series and JYD II.

I think both my ZT 0551 and ZT 0301 are probably up there. I would buy everything ZT offers before buying another Strider which I ended up trading a SNG for the ZT 301. Big, thick, solid lockup, no play whatsoever, blade can still slice as well as chop, and its just a tank which is what I look for. Liked it so much I got the 551 when it came out. After that, I'd have to say my Spyderco Breeden Rescue. Its just a fantastic razor sharp knife out of the box.

At a powwow near Lancaster PA several years ago, I spotted what looked like a handmade knife sitting on a vendors table. Seeing as it was surrounded by Smokey Mountain knife works junk, I still decided to take a gamble on it (no markings). The vendor owner announced $60. A really nice looking Hudson Bay camp knife. No idea if it was an original, a Dixie Knife Works kit knife etc. I traded a Buck Vanguard and a few other knives, including a Chinese Blackjack Grunt. I had a great time at the powwow regardless, and was the proud owner of a really nice Hudson Bay camp knife, Chief model no less, I found out. I used the knife several times clearing brush in the woods. Great knife, razor sharp. I took it with me to Scott Gossman's campout the following month, with the hopes of asking the knowledgeable knife collectors there who made it, and asking Scott to sharpen it for me. At dusk, surrounded by members of Bladeforums and Hoodlums, among other forums, Scott took a look at it and started laughing like hell. It was a knife made by the late Terry Baublitz, and Scott had reprofiled the edge for its previous owner. I actually traded/bought an Idaho Knife Works Hudson Bay model from the same previous owner at Scott's next campoutand brought the HBC chief model to for the previous owner to see.

One of my favorite knives, which compelled me to learn more about the famed HBC, and some great history to it. Began my love affair with Hudson Bay knives.

I think John Greco's knives are a heck of a deal especially his Mid-sized tactical, 8670 Tool steel one heck of a heat treat and linen micarata handles, not to mention great feel and quality.... $59.00 bucks when I bought mine..

If you're talking about knives I just happen to get a good deal on, then I would say my Spec Bump for $60 right b/f they went out of production. I carry it just about every day and it's an incredible value for that amount of money.

If you're talking about bang-for-your-buck for a knife I could go buy from a dealer today at a reasonable price I would say either the Paramilitary 2 or the ZT0200. I'm really suprised at the quality-materials-cost ratio on these 2 knives. I think they are the best 2 values on the market today.
