I don't see this talked about much, but I have a few knifes that I just like to open and close just to hear it. My favorite is my 6347 ans far as sound, snap, and smoothness. It even has a little vibrating sound to it, hard to describe. I also fancy my Camillus made Mooremaker Muskrat and my Case mini Copperlock. I'll be at work and after using a knife I'll hold it up for some worker nearby to hear it snap.Call me crazy.

Cool thread. I'll go through mine and post a pic of of the winner when I get home!

#73 Tidioute sounds the best my S&M crimson bone Baby Sunfish has my farvorite feeling walk and talk!

Hands down, this Bulldog Soddie! I think the light weight to size ratio, and scale material combine to promotes great acoustics:D

If I had to pick right now, it would be the Buck 303T, I'm carryin' along with a Queen #26medium Stockman and a Northwoods medium Stockman as part of a test.

The Buck walks and talks like a precision made tool, it's the Snap-On of knives in world full of Craftsmans and Huskies.;)

Gotta be this honkin' ol' XX Sunfish for me. It doesn't 'snap' per say; it latches closed with a heavy resonant mechanical 'clack' that reminds me of cycling the bolt on a big, woody, well-oiled M1 Garand. :)

Probably my AG Russell (by Camillus) Texas Ranger folding hunter at the moment. It feels like it opens and closes on bearings and the snap is perfect.

I LIKE this thread very much! Yes, I know snapping 'em shut could wreck 'em but.

Oddly enough, it's a lowly Böker Stockman in spotted bone(the one named after a breed of horse whose name I can't spell..) Really clunks home when closing, people even look across the room if you are in public,so you have to be careful....

I don't have any expensive knives, just a bunch of common production knives, but my enjoy the sound of my lowly SAKs which all have a very nice "snap" sound when opening and closing. I also have a couple of Bucks (one 301 and one 303) that I enjoy the sound of opening and closing.

Thad be my Northfield 73 Scout. Thing BOINKS into the half stops and SNAPS closed. Great Knife.

Hi,

My Case Gunboat. The blades sound like a bank vault opening and closing. Just solid feel.

Tidioute #23. Snaps and pops like a jive talking crocodile.

I know nothing about Slipjoints and am reading posts in an atempt to learn. You guys speak a language all your own. I know what a knife "walk & talk" is but man I love this quote.
