So, what's your folding knife of choice to have in your car? I don't have one, but 'am considering a Spyderco Tenacious or Benchmade 551.

In addition, what kind of use does your car folding knife see on a daily basis?

Thanks

I've kept an Opinel in my car in the past. It never got much use, so I wasn't concerned with keeping one in the car so much afterward.

I don't carry a knife in my car.

I carry a knife in my pocket.

Kershaw Skyline though I just picked up a Spyderco Endura 4 that might take it's place, at least on a rotating basis.

Currently I keep a Leatherman Wave and a Case Copperlock in the car.
I am planning to buy an Izula soon and depending on how I like it, either it or my BK11 will find permanent residence in the car as well.

At the moment I keep a SOG POWERLOCK and a Cold Steel Folding Bushman in the car.

A multi-tool is handy and I really appreciate them come flat tire time.

I used to keep a large fixed blade in my car, often a kukri of some sort, in addition to a multi-tool, since I always have an EDC or two on me. But, with my current car space is at a premium (can't even carry a rifle like I used to).

A "car knife" to me is an emergency tool, so they see little actual use.

I keep a HI kuhkuri in my truck door. I have a few and cycle them, usually a 20inch CAK.
I figure you have the intimidation factor, the actually stopping power on man or beast and the ability to cut or pry someone out of a car wreck if necessary.I have a fire extinguisher also.

it needs to open safely with one hand (including your off hand) and not open on you before you want it to even if you go from 60 to 0 in in 3/5ths of a second.

SAK Rescue Model and SAK Climber. They're in the center console regardless of anything else I have with me.

I keep a life hammer and a LUX multitool in my car, not strictly knives, but they both have a blade for cutting seat belts.

I'd suggest a Leatherman Wave or something similar from Victorinox.

One of those combo seatbelt cutters/windshield glass breakers might not be a bad idea, either.

I keep a Spyderco Endura and a Mooremaker sodbuster in my glove compartment just in case I walk out the door without a knife in my pocket.

An old Geber multitool in the glove box with a stanley utility knife and a Kellam Mora. Under my seat is a box that has a first aid kit a pair of fiskars snips and a CS GI Tanto and some assorted other stuff and then in the truck lives a Tram Bolo machete, Fiskars axe my Ontario SP8 and a folding shovel of unknown origin.
