I like em both, and would give a slight-edge to the AD-10 in some respects. Probably like comparing an M1 Carbine to the M1 Garand. For a big, tough survival-folder, the 4 Max takes total command. The AD-10 is a handier-package, but both carry the same. Routinely, I EDC both the Zero Tolerance 0301 Tigers, and an auto Benchmade Adamas. Both Cold Steel knives are wholly capable of doing the mission. Price is also, a consideration. Why spend more; if the AD-10 will essentially meet your needs, and parameters?
 
After admiring Cold Steel knives for some time, I finally ordered a Mini Tac Bowie this morning. I can't wait for it to arrive. Looking as some of the knives on this page, it won't be my last.
