Whats your dream knife?

one of these:

this one is my grandfathers, I would probably get a new one from here and get either a custom leather sheath similar to the leather boot knife sheaths, or pancake style or a high riding kydex sheath.
I'd probably go for kydex, that way I can hang it upside down mecharness style from my civlabs shoulder holster, with other bits and peices on the offside.

those look like great knives, but ive got a question. how come nobody mentioned a knife they themselves made? seems like everybody on here is a fantastic knife maker, or do they not hang out on this forum?

Still looking for a real workhorse chopper in the 18 - 24 inch blade range, like what I had back home so many years ago. My Ma says it was closer to 18 inches, but it felt like a full two feet then. Not sure what the appropriate steel should be, though.

Don't really have a dream knife. I like scott cooks work but I find they are too rare etc to use so I would just keep it as a seller. I think that is a waste of a knife so it can't be my grail.

I really like Yuna knives as I feel like I could use them

So for now I will say Yuna eq 2. But my large seb is my dream knife as well.

I cant make up my mind...I just like too many knives:)

I carry and use only handmade knives made in the styles of the 1700's-1800's period. I guess it would be the traditional style "Scalper" made for me by Matt Lesniewski of ML KNIVES. I have a Concealed Weapons Permit and wear both a pistol and knife (Had an attempted Carjacking back in April), and was glad I was armed.

Well said.

One day I'd like to try a blade of Kobuse construction with HSS and iron.

This one. A clean Belgian custom, meanwhile bought by a design museum. I have the artist's older Arrow 2, alread very beautiful.

Any Burchtree knife, I am on his list and was told that he will make my Burchtree bamboo next July.

If you could get one knife for free from any company or maker to be your EDC, Hunting, Survival, or Safe Queen, what would it be? Any knife that you really want for whatever reason that you just can't afford or get your hands on. This is a tough question for me because there are SOOOO many, but I honestly would say at this moment a Rick Hinderer Xm-18 Gen II or a DDR Gunhammer Edc-x, .....or maybe a Bob Dozier Classic in stag...DAMMIT I can't make up my mind....Whats your mind stuck on???

If you're talking production knives that I could actually buy, I'd say the Sage Carbon fiber model. Really not that bad at $110-120, but I'm off buying knives for the rest of the year. (after purchasing 4 so far this year)

If you're talking a true "Dream" knife, I love Keith Ouye's engraved custom folders. That stuff is and always will be out of my reach, but you have to dream!

I REALLY want a Gripitilian in black g10 with a vg10 plain edge blade. I'd be happy with just the g10 though.
