What's Your EDC Dealbreaker?

Tip down carry only
And I may be the only one (didnt read the whole thread) but I dont like really deep carry pocket clips

If the knife is 10"+ OAL thats my dealbreaker. I also won't carry a cheap piece of junk, or a blade that I don't think can handle what ever I throw at it if it's called on.

Cant do a tanto blade. Double edged blades are also a no go for me.
Fixed blades I cant do as a EDC. Any steel less than D2 I refuse to use.

Most of the dealbreakers have already been mentioned. I will add one more thing:
Monoframe handles - Interesting concept at first glance until you take it apart for maintenance.

I don't care for serrations, or a knife that has a unbalanced blade to handle ratio; that REALLY bugs me.
There are also certain brands that I will NOT buy. I will NOT buy a clone either!!

I bought a Spyderco nirvana to get a feel for it to see if a genuine Rassenti was in my future. the knife was VERY blade heavy and felt poorly balanced. I considered just returning it due to the high cost but opted to sent it to josh at REK for a full flat regrind and polish treatment to lighten the blade side instead. Yes, I'll have a $650 production spyderco when all is said and done but the integral frame design fascinates me. I doubt I'll be buying any Rassenti's though.

Most of these have been mentioned, but:

Serrations - they have their place, just not in my pocket
Tip down only - rules out a lot of CRKT knives
Heavy weight ratio - 3-3.5" knife that weighs 5-6 oz
Automatics - unnecessary

Flippers. I simply can't stand that tit hanging down to foul many things one cuts.

Tip down, half serrations, or tanto blades.

Also any skulls, zombie crap, any of that cheap mall ninja garbage.

Any blade I carry has to be of a certain minimum quality level.

Serrations and tip down only, like for many people, are a no go. But there is something else that rarely happens but really bothers me. When there is any combination of slick handle and bad pocket clip position or design, and pocket clip shape that makes pulling it out of the pocket a chore. Like those rare occasions where the knife clamps down on your pocket and doesn't like to let go easily. If it requires a lanyard because of that, its a no go for me.

Tip down carry only, fully serrated blades, blade over 4" (illegal for me) and heavy bulky folders >5 oz.

My deal breakers:

Takes more than one hand to open and close

Blade doesn't lock

Wide in the pocket preventing me from getting at other items in the pocket easily

No pocket clip

As far as edc, a blade that is too heavy to carry comfortably with with shorts, 4oz is usually the max. A pocket clip with a sharp outward tip, not good for the paint job on my vehicles.
