WHat's your fav?

Wow is this a tuffy ?

I mean they all have different appeals.

Do you mean For EDC or wilderness survival, or fighting, or what?

My most sentimental is my Delica simply because I have had it with me for a long time and in alot of places (not all of which were entirley legal).

I dont know if this is what you mean.

This is not hard at all, every day it is my SAK Trekker. It does everything from making a rat trap out of 5 gallon buckets to setting the idle on the lawnmower to punching that "hey fatty" hole in my belt.

*Manix comes a close second*

yep, i second the trekker. it should be the special forces issue :) as far as different scenarios, i guess for camping, a D2 kabar.
for fighting, either one of my M3 trench knives, or that carbon v 5" CS peacekeeper I had. for edc though, my trekker is the whip.

Wow, you've got me thinking here. It all depends...

EDC: Microtech CMTX-5 (Have Marcangel to thank for this. It's pretty and useable)
Sentimental reasons: my WWII Kabar MKII knife with the smooth handle and chrome finish (Used to belong to my grandfather, if only I knew how he got it)
Looks: Kirby Lambert Gouge Grip Claw (First custom folder and love the look)
Hard use: My beckers (The price and function are excellent. If by chance I do break one I won't be too hurt, just surprised)

The list could go on. I think if I could actualy narrow it down to just one knife then I would have to start feeling guilty for buying more.

I have a western drop pont stainless back east that fits my hand like a glove, and the balance just feels perfect. I would say that would be my favourite, the knife that started it all.

At the moment for knives I have right now, my blue alox farmer is up there,
as is my sak outrider.
Knives on the way, I am very excited about my RAT5 and my sak trekker, as well as my moras.
My cold steel bushman also holds a special place. This is a tough question!

Right now it's the Bark River Mini Canadian. Why? because I just got it so I'm infatuated with it. Also, it is probably the most practical, sharpest, and well made small fixed blade I have personally handled, as well as being very pleasing to the eye. I'm going to try it as an edc in a hip pocket sheath, once I get or make one.

Funny story - I accidentally got two of them because I forgot to cancel one of my back orders (it was hard to find). I'm trying to decide which one to keep and which one to sell or trade. One is a 1st production run with green canvas micarta and hollow pins. The other is brown/tan burl with mosaic pins. The micarta is a little more comfortable in the hand, but the burl is so much more attractive and the blade as just a bit more belly (they're hand-ground, so there are slight variations).

I also like my Victorinox Spirit multitool because it is the one I use the most on a daily basis.

I need more criteria before I can answer this, I think. Of the stuff I already have, I'd narrow it down to my CS TrailMaster, CS Master Hunter, and Frost Clipper.

It really depends whether or not I might have to chop up some wood or defend myself, in which case I definitely choose the TrailMaster. If not, I can pretty much flip a coin between the other two, they're both tough, sharp and versatile.

The question is a mathmetical, psychological, and theoretical impossibility (for me, anyways). BUT, the three of mind that come to mind first are my CS Carbon V Master Hunter, my Grohmann DH Russell #1, and my Camillus Becker TacTool. Oh, and my Leatherman Charge. And Wave. And my Vic Farmer and Vic Hunter. And my Vic Bundeswehr. And my Becker Companion. And the Becker Brute...

I guess if it's steel, it'll take an edge, and it's in my hand, it's my favorite.

Probably my most favorite factory knife would have to be the Shrade Deer Slayer. Sleek design, feels good in the hand and does most tasks. The leather sheath is comfortable and rides well on the belt.

I have a Blackton 5" Clip Point with Micarta scales in a hand sewn pouch sheath. I purchased this knife from Mr. Blackton in person at a Safari Club Int. Dinner in Detroit MI. around 1988. It has dressed over 30 animals to date, all Deer size or larger. I have had it sharpened 2 times in some 18 years and both times it was done by the Blackton Shop. This knife sits in semi retirement looking over all my other knives. It has been carried while hunting all over North America and has always received compliments. I consider it a true family heirloom. Thanks Mr.Blackton if you are still out there!!!

My favorite knife for camping and hiking is my Fallkniven F1. its a great size blade to carry, and i dont need to carry a 10" chopping, when the F1 will do just fine. I love VG-10 steel, hold a nice edge, and is real easy to sharpen. Not to mention that this is one tough knife, can take loads of abuse. And for a folder i carry a Vic Rucksack, which is also my EDC(right now). Vic saws are awesome, and take a beating.

I Can't do it! Just can't. No matter how hard I try, just one isn't going to work for me.

To try and stick with the original question, Fallkniven F1. Why:

Gets sharp
Stays sharp
Perfect size for general hunting/camp/cook chores IMHO
Good handle ergo's
Robust build
I love the kydex sheath

But I carry my Vic "Farmer" every day, it's right up there.

And then theres my Moras. My Moras have done everything my F1 has done and cost almost seventh the price.

Ohhh what the heck I'll go with the F1:confused: :D

My OneHandTrekker from Victorinox.I have the one handed capabilities/ease of access.I have a decent variety of tools all in one package. The knife has done everything required of it over the past year.
If I was only limited to one folder this would be it.There are many knives that are better suited for specific tasks but my OHT seems to have the ability to deal with a multitude of tasks and do it well

The two most appropriate knives that I have for wildnerness / survival are my Victorinox Farmer and Soldier. I prefer my Soldier, but the Farmer is certainly the better choice for wilderness / survival.

if someone said i could only keep one, no doubt it would be my vic oht, but i'm not sure that makes it my favorite.
