What's your favorite blade shape?

I like a drop point or spear point best, and have a special fondness for those profiles combined with a recurve.

Yes they are more of a challenge to sharpen, but using a good butcher steel, together with crock sticks for routine edge maintenance makes it much easier.

Only if you sharpen with a stone. If you use a strop or ceramic rods to sharpen your blades, these profiles are no more difficult to sharpen than the straightest edge.

I like the looks of a clip point the best. But I mostly carry drop points or spear points for utility. Tanto blades can look cool if done correctly but I didn't select it because so many of them are ugly to me.
