Mine is wharncliffe. I think it's classy as hell and perfect for everything I need. It's got an acute point for stabbing into stuff and it isn't "scary" to non-knife people. It's also a great slicer. What is your favorite blade style and why? I'd like to hear different pros and cons for future reference.

Mine is the traditional tanto. Unlike the ridiculous Americanized version, it has a good belly and more tip strength than you'll ever need. Plus i think its the sexiest blade shape out there.

I like the Wharncliffe style as well, followed by coping and then a clip. I like to whittle and the Wharncliffe and coping blades are essential, and a clip is good for general tasks, like cutting food.

I do love a wharncliffe but honestly my favorite has to be a clip. It may not be the most function blade in my day to day rotation but it sure is the most good looking.
As all of you seem to prefer a wharncliffe ill give you a shot of my closest EDC

Isn't she a beauty?

Yup it's a sheeps foot but as I said its the closest to a wharnnie that I have in my EDC.

if only for slicing spydercos ffg
if only one for do it all drop point with slight recurve.

That's a real beauty. I really like that pattern.

I like warnies lol but if I had to choose just 1 it would have to be a Drop Point specifically like one on the rat 1.

Drop point.
Because it technically includes the leaf shape, spear point, and modified wharncliffe (santoku).

I only own one wharncliffe knife, but I can totally understand why a lot of people love their wharnies (fine point, ease of sharpening, etc.). However, most of the cutting I do is to food on a flat surface, so I love my blade bellies.

I find a drop point blade with deep belly the most useful in my edc. Great examples are the large regular sebenza and the new sebenza25. Another great drop point with deep belly is the Ritter Grip.

Spear point followed by clip point

modified upswept sheepfoot style/skinners
burch, nalu, and manu le brun are perfect examples of the upswept sheepfoot blade and mayo skinner is of course perfection

I love the Wharncliffe and leaf blade shapes. I like them easy to sharpen with very little curve to them. If I wanted something like a traditional tanto, I would have gotten one. Keep all that nasty belly away from my blades.
