What's your favorite BM Axis Lock knife?

710ps by a nose over the 806ps. Both are outstanding emergency knives. Both point well and open like butter on glass. The only reason the 710 has a slight edge is that the finger choil does a good job of keeping one's hand from sliding forward onto the blade but is also easy to change grip positions with. The deeper choil on the 806 does a great job of planting the hand in the sabre grip, but takes a little thought to move to other positions. If someone said either one was the only folder I could ever carry again, I would feel comfortable. I'd be peeved, but still be comfortable:) Good question!

The Osborne 770 Gents' Folder followed very closely by the Osborne 940 Folder. The 770 is a wonderful dress-up, "go to meeting" kind of knife that will do a most amazing number of different chores and still look quite dressy and slick while doing them. The 940 is one very heavy duty knife for which you do not pay the peanalty of massive size, weight, or clunky looks. Mr. Osborne seems to have a touch for designing the maximum utility into the nicest looking knives of the smallest posssible size that will do the expected jobs.

Good question but quite difficult to answer.
In fact there is no one BENCHMADE Axis Lock knife what I do not like
But if I would be convicted to buy only one of them I certainly would choose 551 Griptilian!
In my honest opinion it is the best buy among benchmades and one of the very best around.

The full sized Griptillian (550?).

Just got one and am VERY pleased with it. Basically the same shape and size as my Spyderco C48 Wegner (which is my favorite and longest carried 'tactical' folder) but lighter and nicer to carry in dress pants. Very smooth and fast, and cheap enough to buy a few spares. The oval opening hole was a bit odd at first, but i don't even notice it now.
