What's your favorite current production BM folder?

Well, like PSquared, so many of my BMs have been tweaked or modded. Funny how my Spydies are all stock….
I can't really pick ONE BM either (sorry OP), so it's a two-way tie for first between a 943 blade in a 940-1 CF handle and my old 710 D2 with the backspacer replaced by pillars. They both have stock brothers--940-1 and 710-1401--that are beauties but have to get their love from fondling, not carrying. A close second for fave is a 581 Barrage, de-assisted, pillars for backspacer, and bolster screws and thumb-studs changed out to black.

My two favorite current production Benchmades are at the opposite ends of the scale:

530 - I didn't like it the first time I saw it, but it's really grown on me
275 - The closest knife to the mini Rukus in the current roster IMHO

Odd that my favorite Benchmade is one of the more unique models. The 761 is like no other BM. It is top quality in materials and execution. I love everything about it.

Cool. Thanks. I've seen stock pictures of them, but never a real picture. I gotta get one. I don't really collect them either. I have 7 or 8 at the moment, and they get rotated in use...

Currently my favorite EDC Benchmade is my 943. Its an older 154CM bladed model that I grabbed up off ebay for a great price. Unfortunately it was a combo edge blade and the serrations were worn down flat. So, I sent it in for a refurbish and had a new plain edge S30V blade swapped in. I also put a polished deep carry clip on it and its my favorite user right now. I will post up a pic later.

I agree, I prefer the Grips, mini or large and stock. I like them for the reasons many dislike them. (I actually like the big plastic scales and when the black coating wears off the blade and pocket clip.) I just got an od 550

So many favorites. When I originally answered in August, I was anticipating the arrival of a 710. Since then, I've bought two 710s and several others. Each model was a favorite...then the next one came along. In reality, there are so many excellent choices it's impossible to pick one model as my absolute favorite. The 710 still ranks as one of the best knives I've ever owned. Both blade configurations of the Axis Strykers also rank high on the list of most usable and useful knives I've owned. The HK Axis is one helluva tough knife when a tough knife is needed. And, finally, for a daily carry knife it's hard for me to pick between the Mini Axis Stryker, 707 Sequel and the Mini Axis HK. So many favorites.

The 710 was the first knife I ever bought back in 2008 and it is still my favorite. The 550HG was my second knife and it's my next favorite. I was lucky picking two good designs right from the start. I let my 710 stay in conditions that caused the blade to rust and I plan to send it in for a replacement blade. Still haven't got one of the KW exclusive 710s but I will get one some time this year. When they come out with some better colors for the G10 Grips, I'll get one of those too.



BTW, that is an old pic. I reached one year smoke free on Jan. 29th of this year.
