Well done, sir. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts. No experience with the Scandinavian knives yet.. just ordered the Terävä trio (Skrama 200, Jaakaripuuko 140 and 110). Let’s see if they’re worthy.
He got to see a couple at our recent CT blade forums gathering. I am pleased in his judgement.Well done, sir. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.![]()
Now that the weather is getting nicer, I’ll be able to get some field time once they arrive. They’re ultra utilitarian looking, nothing pretty or fancy about them. That’s my favorite thing about them.Well done, sir. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.![]()

I like my #2 classic, myself. A #3 seems like too much blade and a #1 seems like not enough handle. It’s just a solid knife- nothing fancy and very handy. I’d be inclined to believe Emil is using a well-worn sheepsfoot.I am Scandinavian but I don’t really have any Nordic knives in my collection, except possibly for this guy. Next time I’m in Mora I’ll have to get myself one of the standard issue classics, a nr 1 or 2, those feel just like something Emil would have used to carve his figures when locked up in the woodshed for getting into mischief in Lönneberga
Edit: not sure what blade Emil is using below, is that a reverse tanto?
