What's your favorite Emerson design?

Today, I found my happy spot in a Custom Super Roadhouse - wondered if it would be too much, but it's not.

Looks like a perfect fit buddy!:D

For me, my fave is the CQC-45. It's mainly due to my liking of the Specwar/SOCFK/CQC-11 type of handle with a little more girth at the butt end of the handle and bowie blade. Though the new/yet to be released Sheepdog flipper might end up taking the top spot given the handle shape and bowie style blade. I like Emerson's bowie style blades most with the CQC-8/Tiger style of blade 2nd.

It is amazing how the commander fits in any size. Masterpiece.

Looks like you've got some large hands dude! You know what they say about big hands and big feet...big Sox, and big gloves LOL. :D

How about some pics of that custom?

Just one.. would probably be the 15, followed by Commander, followed by 7V or mini-15

Sweet custom!! Is that the one you were looking to get with the funds from the "I want an Emerson custom sales thread" ?

Short answer: yes. I also strongly considered a 10, a Horseman, a Tanto and a Zealot.

That is SOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL! :cool::thumbup:

Thanks, I am super happy with it. I think it is cool how the handmade Customs vary a little in their grind; this one has more taper to it than a lot of other Roadie's I've seen, which I really dig.

I too am hard pushed to pick just one...

I find my 10 in my pocket a lot and I absolutely love my 7V. Of my standard sized knives I am most drawn to my Roadhouse but all the talk of the Horseman (& a previous thread with input from a bunch of you guys) prompted me to pull the trigger on one.

It'll probably be a while until I get to pick it up but it's on the way to me!

;)

Cheers all...

Ben

My Emerson Sheepdog Spearpoint is my new favorite EDC! The spearpoint tip seems to be more heavy duty than the more delicate bowie tip. I expect to favor this knife for a long time. The way it feels in my hand, the functionality, it seems like Mr. Ernie Emerson made it just for me.

7A for me.

Neutral handle melts into any grip. "A" style blade is super sexy.

A perfectly flat spine would be nice tho. The location and shape of the thumb ramps bother me.

A-100 will prolly be next.

My three favorites:

of course I love my 7's also.

Hey John, did you put the secondary edge on your custom or did it come like that? I thought the customs were all zero edged, but i been seeing a TON online like yours.

Sorry to derail.

Thx.

Only other one I've taken so far. I'll be snapping some more.

Great looking knife man--I have to say... I love my super roadie as well. As for yours, my eyes keep shifting from the exquisite grind to the rich bolster and scale--I really don't know what I like more... but the whole thing screams awesome!

Thank you my friend. I'll give you one more aspect to consider: this is the last Super Roadhouse made with the classic "Specwar" logo:

For me, it's the Super Commander.

That's not a custom....it's a pimped production model. Looks great, though..
