what's your favorite feature?

My favorite feature is an ergonomic handle. Obviously everyone's hands are different of different proportions, but they all have the same basic shape. The handle should be designed to support that shape; it needs to feel comfortable and natural, like an extension of the body.

-Flipper
-Axis Lock
-Deep carry Clip
-Drop point or recurve blade

That's the main list of things that I like in a knife.

For me I must have a thumb stud or thumb hole, a pocket clip, and a lock that I can operate with one hand. I also like a blade with a keen point and not a lot of belly or recurve.

nearly all folders have the blade axis pointing down a little in relation to the axis of the handle. only balisongs are certifiably straight. but the best thing you can do for other folders is to allow four-position grip: forward or reverse, edge up or down. my favorite style of holding a knife is forward, edge up (like you're cutting some twine wrapping.)

Lanyard hole - a lanyard is great for preventing hand slipping
Wave opening - very handy at times when I've been on a time crunch
Belly - doesn't matter how much, even a little bit of a curve is good for those scraping tasks
Disassembly - I want a knife I can disassemble and clean since pivots can get gunked up with things such as juice from fruits.
metal on metal at the pivot - I helped a friend pick out the skyline at a knife store and he loves it, but I don't like the way one washer just grinds against the scale instead of gliding over metal. I think this is one of the reasons I'm not a fan of the skyline even though it's really not a big issue.

If there's 100 people who answer you're gonna get a 1000 different answers with loads of them contradicting.

Another spyderhole fan. I wear gloves about 7 months out of the year. The spyderhole is easy to open with gloved hands. I especially like the large spyderhole.

The compression lock has taken over as my favorite. I find it very lefty friendly. Lefty tip-up carry is mandatory on any new acquisitions.

ME LIKEY :
-Spydie hole and flipper
-G10 with gunner grip
-Sturdy 4 way 3 screws stainless clip
-Good ergos with a choil, front and rear expansion to prevent slipping
-Good stainless steel
-Torx t10 hardware with overbuilt pivot
-Clip point blade Millie style with a hint of drop to strenghten the tip, make it 4 inches edge
-FFG or thin convex full height with 4 mm max thickness (dont need a godamn prybar)
-BIG lanyard hole
-Tri ad lock or compression lock
-Well done jimping

ME NOT LIKE :
-Prybars (well i own a ZT0200 and i do like it but its really too thick and sturdy to cut well)
-Wire clips, flimsy and butt ugly, it saddens me even more as they are popular...
-I dont care much for deep carry clips, annoys me as hell when it weakens the clip so badly as seen on the PPT (this is my only gripe about the PPT)
-Thumb plates, discs, studs, autos, assisted
-Press fit lanyard tubes

-Flipper
-Axis Lock
-Deep carry Clip
-Drop point or recurve blade

That's the main list of things that I like in a knife.
A BM 300SN?

I like slim folders. High blade to handle ratio. One hand opening and closing.

edit: easy to take apart and put back together is also a plus.

Good blade for realistic daily tasks. That is, fairly thin stock, full flat or high hollow grind, and no paint on the blade.

My favorite features:
Thumbhole or Thumbstud
Flat Ground Blade
Stonewash finish
Titanium lock - Liner lock or frame lock
Choil
Some jimping
Open construction
Wharncliffe or some belly but not a ridiculous amount - Depends on the knife design - My Spyderco Air, Spyderco Chokwe, Curtiss Knives Nano, and Sebenza all are perfect for how they're designed.
G-10 or CF or just plain Ti scales

The more I get into this... the longer my list of specifics becomes. Lol.

Unfortunately some features are exclusive to certain companies. Emerson wave and Hinderer stabilizer come to mind (although they both have been licensed out).

For me 2 things I love are left/right pocket clip options, and BIG blades on folders.
