What's your favorite fixed blade Strider?

The subject line says it all. The AR seems to be the most popular folder. Personally, I like my folder ("lame" AR, of course!) to be my all purpose knife, and my fixed blade to be my "tough" knife, the one I do the really radical stuff with. That's why I'm interested in the BT...

It depends on what you plan to use it for!?! I think my BN/SS would make the best utility tool. I'm also thinking about a BT/SS for a slightly more compact tool of the same sort. Oh yeah, get the serrations!

If I was looking for a backup knife in a combat situation, my hollow ground MSC 6.5 would be on my belt. It's the most ergonomic Stider I own and is awesome in a reverse grip. It edges out my D-9 just barely. The advantage the D-9 has over the MSC is its lenght. And that would be solved if I could find a hollow MSC 7.5 or a monster badlands Valkyrie.

Favorite fixed blade: MT with the G-10 Handles. I've only had it for about a month, but it has shined at every task I've thrown at it. I may put some grip tape on the handle to give it a little more bite when I'm wearing gloves, but other than that I think it's the perfect design.

My favorite is the one I own my BT. Its plaine jane no tiger stripe!

BUT I am getting another on to go with it!

I am looking at the MT-MOD 10 the 10 inch version of the MT!
Its also a copy of the 8541 Strider issued to the top Marine Scout Sniper in the class.

Although I see that TAD has WB's in the 10 MOD. 5 inch blade on the WB.

mine is one of their biggest and least talked about the PAB. its a big piece of steel. does lots of cutting and chopping with ease. would not go into the woods without it. this is the tool for you door pryers.

I would hazard a guess at $325 on the MT MOD 10, but that is based on the last time I saw one available. Yes, the Mod 10 is a smaller MT, but only by around an inch. It is by far one of my favorite knives they have ever made. Trouble it, I've never owned one.

Holy s*** I am getting one asap! Mick thats cool news that the MOD10 MT's are there in shop. I'll give you a call.

Ryan,
The MT-MOD 10 has been a knife that I have been drooling over since I first saw a real 8541! The 8541's are stamped for the Marine Corp Sniper who finishes first in his class for the Marine Scout Sniper class 8541.
Thats cool but anyone else will never own one with 8541 on it. That being said its one of the best knives going, I have handled one but never owned one myself, (that will change). ;)

The MT-MOD 10 was recently reveiwed in SOF magazine. I drooled over it there also!

Yes the following are the MT Models

MT, MT MOD 10, and the MT-L.

The MT MOD 10 has a five inch blade. But its a hell of a knife!!!!

I just don't see how much more special a MT-10 is compared to a MT.

But my MT should be arriving soon today. (Thanks to Mike @ BadAssKnives.com)

Yeah, since they share the same price, why not just go with a MT?
It's only 1.5 inches longer.

If you haven't held one in your hand, you wouldn't understand. It just feels perfect in the hand. The full size ones just feel a tad big. It is a subconcious thing.

shoot my MT-L is my favorite, as far as size i think it is just right. big is beautifull ;)
my dream knife is a production model of micks contest knife   wow
