I've used one (different SAK but meh) before to stretch new guitar strings and I imagine they'd be good for carrying pails with thin wire handles or something. Maybe parcels tied with twine. Not sure I've ever had a wire handled pail or a twine wrapped parcel but maybe one day. :D
 
As usual, my current favourite folder is my most recent.
Today it's a Strider PT-CC in green G10 with stonewash blade.
Great shape--really ergonomic in my hands at least, and easy in the pocket. Very hard SV30 blade steel that's one of the sharpest edges I've ever managed.
