What's your favorite folder??

I really do like my bm Mini AFCK. It's a
great knife. I also like the crkt point
guard.

Although I have never been a big fan of "folders", I am particularly fond of my Carnivore. It is one of the few folders I have seen that I would trust.

Currently it's my plaine edge Spyderco Military. You should check out some of spyderco's knives, they may look unappealing at first with the hump in the blade and all, but they know quality control and how to make high performance edges. Plus, they're affordable. For a smaller folder the Spyderco Delica or Native are pretty good too. Spyderco just makes great using knives with excellent fit and finish IMO.

My vaery most favorite is the Spyderco StarMate followed very closely by the Spyderco BF Native, both with CPM440V blades. I would take the new Native with the 440V blade as a replacement.

I really like my Mini-AFCK in M2 tool steel. Very ergo package. I also am never without my CRK Umfaan.

Damn, I had no idea this topic would get so violent, I just figured that if I just read one of the old ones I wouldn't know what is "on the cutting edge" of the business. I just want to see what you perfer. What you carry gives the rest of us an idea on what works we choose from there. And besides it's just a fun question ABOUT knives.

My favorite folder is the Microtech SOCOM Elite. That is if you are talking about factory knives. My favorite custom would be anything from Michael Walker.

First post on this board. I'm a collector. Favorite folder? I have a nice Gerber "handmade" folder with a partially serrated blade. Zytel handle, good feel to it. A favorite, since until recently, it was my dad's. Now I carry it.

I'm kinda partial to the Benchmade 705S (aka the McHenry & Williams Mini-Axis lock, partially-serrated for those from another post

). It's a do-it-all little folder that's more an innocent little pocket knife than it is anything else in terms of how sheeple perceive it.

Don't be bugged too bad by people jumping on your case about the alleged repetitiveness of your question. Sometimes we all forget the purpose of the forums.

Really like the reference to Luke 15 Gollnick; one of my favorite chapters. I rejoice with you for your found AFCK.

So, my current favorite is my Spyderco Native, a really unique little knife.

Mykl: If you are fishing for suggestions on a good folder, don't presuppose that what is "on the cutting edge", i.e., new, is the way to go. I am saving up for one of the new Benchmade 940's but my AFCK has served above and beyond the call of duty. The AFCK is not brand new and hasn't a new, fancy lock at all- just a plain 'ol liner, but probably one of the best liners out there. Do check more than "the cutting edge."

Well....I took my hat off to the 2 custom full size Crawford KFFs i have at home. Very strong and well build folders! The Ti handle version is slimmer and elegant(like the Sebenza on steroids), where as the Ti bolster and micarta is the "Super-charged" version which screams and begs to be carried into war.......they both are scarry sharp and.....what can i say, I'm a big fan of the KFFs!

But.....to be more politically correct in a "lawyer filled society waiting to bust your a.s.s for carrying a knife world"(no pun intended), i carry the Spydie StarMate for my daily consumption(yes...the iron in it is good for you....). The 440V is excellent in it's cutting ability and the whole package is slim enough to be consealed totally. Hope this helps.
