Whats your favorite frame flipper

I recenently have been feeling the need to get a framelock flipper back in my rotation.

Whats your favorite in the $250 max range. I really liked my zt 0452 and 0450 but just not enough to keep them.

The zt 0900 has been on my mind lately but I have large hands and I like a full hand grip, not sure the 0900 will accommodate that.

I have had the zt0808 in my cart at least 10 time but never pulled the trigger.

i have handled or owned all of the ZTs you've listed and a few more. My favorite ZT frame locks are the 0452 and 0801Ti (feels much better in the hand than an 0808, and the action is superior in my opinion). one i haven't handled that the flipper enthusiasts rave about is 0562CF (this might be the most popular frame lock flipper on BF at your price range)

A couple more ideas: reate event horizon, WE 705

I have owned or handled the 0450, 0900, 0808, and 0562CF. For larger hands and overall quality I would suggest the 0562CF followed by the 0808. The 0900 is a snappy little folder but it is little.

Thanks guys. I am watching youtube vids of the 0562 and the we 705 now. seriously thinking the 0562 might be the one.
I previously owned a hinderer xm slicer but wasnt all that impressed with the flipping action. With the 0562 it looks like zt has addressed that

0900 is great but small, as noted. I'm also really digging the 0920. The action is very similar to the 0900 but substantially more hand filling.

I wish the 0909 was a frame lock, I found the liner lock a little hard to get my tumb on to disengage

Frame lock flipper

Really like my real steel megalodon 2017 in m390 steel. Needle bearings, tc4 titanium. Great slicing blade IMHO.

Also have a Reubens titanium and tools Rune. It's action is similar to a grimsmo but it's not nearly as refined and doesn't look like it at all.

Favorite zt has to be 0562cf. Action is incredible. So are the ergos. Blades fine for slicing but a bit thick behind the edge.

Was you able to get a 4 finger grip on your 0900?

Sort of, but it's a little crowded, and I have medium size hands.

edit: What I mean by that is, yes, I can get all 4 fingers on it, but I have to kind of squeeze them together, and there is no extra room to spread out or anything. On the 0920 this is obviously not a problem.

I like ZTs frame flippers very much
My favorite is the 0801

The 0562 is superior in some ways. IMO it carries better in the pocket and the handle has a very nice look to it

But IMO in term of flipping action, ergonomics and cutting abilities the 0801 is superior

My 0801BW sees a lot of pocket time for more than 2 years now and it is still the best flipper I have Sen so far
Actually it has somehow spoiled most other flippers I have experienced

The new Ti version has a much more attractive handle but I prefer Elmax over s35vn and BW over the Ti finish but than is just personal preferences and the 0801Ti shall be as good as my BW version

Obsessed with 0562. Super comfortable in the hand, great slicer even without being ffg. I'd go with the 0562 hah. Although I'm also looking at the 0801Ti

Thanks for all of the info and pictures guys I think I am going to pull the trigger on the 0801ti new version. I wish I was more into harpoon style blade, if I was I would go with the 0920. I have checked out some of the other brands mentioned ie: reate and we and they look like awesome choices too but there is just something about zt that keeps pulling me in.

Let us know how you like it. I got a 801brz and was not impressed. Got an custom scale and metal washer for the bearings to sit on the show side and the action is great now. Tbo I also cleaned it really well too.

Some pics for comparison with 0630, 0562 and 0550
I have the 0801 in BLK and BW versions

As you can see the new design looks more "sexy"
The first one is very "old school" to say the least ;)

Nice choice, jwh720. I would've recommended the 562 personally (like a lot of others did, for good reason). The 801 is a very close second on my list of favorite ZT knives though. I wanted the limited 801BRZ when it came out a long while back, but missed out since it sold out before I could get one. This new production version is basically the same design with a stonewashed blade and without the anodization. It'll stay on my wish list until I eventually get one, that's for sure.

Hope you enjoy your new knife when it arrives! :)

Thanks, Whitty has already shipped out the 801 so it won't be long now. I would have probably gone with the 562 if I hadn't already owned an xm18. I still cant get the 0900 off my mind so it will be a miracle if I dont get one of these too.

I'm late to the party here, but I'll tell you the one I like most.

Camillus USA CUDA Dominator. Company is out of business, but you can still find one of these out there.

Titanium framelock, Robo-Power assisted opening, S30V steel that was flat out done right. Blade profile is right, ergos are right.

I've not found a finer example.

jwh720 Thank you for the order. The 801TI is an awesome knife.

When looking in the future and considering the 0900 also give the 456 a good hard look. It gets passed over but it is my personal favorite of all the ZT's currently available. It is fun to flip, fits great in almost every size of hand and cuts like a laser. People have issues with the look and then start to use it and realize how perfect it is. The only downside at all on the 456 is the weight.
