Whats your favorite frame flipper

Thanks Whitty I will give the 0456 consideration, not sure I could get past the scale design but maybe.

I recenently have been feeling the need to get a framelock flipper back in my rotation.

Whats your favorite in the $250 max range. I really liked my zt 0452 and 0450 but just not enough to keep them.

The zt 0900 has been on my mind lately but I have large hands and I like a full hand grip, not sure the 0900 will accommodate that.

I have had the zt0808 in my cart at least 10 time but never pulled the trigger.
I'm itching like a dog for the 808. I have other life priorities preventing me from jumping on it, thankfully, but it haunts my mind still :D

Thanks guys. I am watching youtube vids of the 0562 and the we 705 now. seriously thinking the 0562 might be the one.
I previously owned a hinderer xm slicer but wasnt all that impressed with the flipping action. With the 0562 it looks like zt has addressed that
The 0562 is the only flipper, and ZT that I own. I got mine just a few months after they became available and it has been a standby in the rotation since then. Amazing knife! Flips beautifully, and with mine being as broken in as it is, it will fly open if you give just the lightest touch, but never comes open accidentally. Very easy to take down and maintain (I know this isn't important to some, but it is one of the key things I look for). You cannot go wrong with this blade. Good luck!

*edited to add* The 0562 clip is also the only deep carry clip I currently enjoy/use, as it is simply, in my opinion, one of the best designed clips on the market.

Haha I hear ya... I seem to always think that there is that one knife that will scratch that itch but that never happens there is always another one that I "need"

I really think you will be happy with the 0801Ti. As i mentioned above, it's my favorite ZT. It's a tough knife that feels great in the hand, and the weight of the 3.5" blade (sweet spot for length) makes for a great action

Yeah after watching 100 youtube videos lol I definitely think I will be happy. I sold my other zts because I was in a CRK and traditional buying phase and didnt think I was into the flippers anymore. I am still in the tradional phase but the flipper hunger was re-ignited by a freeman 451 blf. However at least I can say that my CRK appetite has been tamed by the large inlayed inkosi.

The Inkosi is definitely something that will be in my stable at some point as well. In fact, I can't wait for that day, so I can compare it to my 562cf. :)

One thing about ZT, that black DLC is very black indeed. However, the part stonewashed, part satin finish on the 562 is definitely unique, and quite nice.

Something new to consider might be the 392 line, though they might be a little too "unique" for a lot of people. The Blue Bowie is like a 770 on steroids.

jwh720 jwh720 , here's a size comparison pic of other ZT's that may peak your interest. I just love the 0095, it really fits well in the hand. I threw in a large Inkosi so you'd see if for you, there will be any difference. My 0801 is the S110V edition. They are the 0456,0095,0562,0801,Inkosi and the 0452

The 0801 is awesome. Ergos fit me like a glove, action and lockup are superb, and it carries really well, in spite of its weight.

The 0900...well, in some way it's a bit silly being so stout. It ALWAYS puts a smile on my face though! It gets LOTS of carry time.

jwh720 jwh720 I hpoe are as happy with your 0801 as I am with mine. You pretty much need an 0900 too. (You know you want one ;))

Ok, I have to ask...what does it weigh? An ultralight 0801 would be amazing!
well, it was heavy as hell before... its substantially lighter now. not super light or anything but a big difference. i dont have a scale to weigh it, but if you take one scale off and hold it in your hand, its just ever so slightly more than that. i went to not really liking this knife (loved the look tho) to actually enjoying it now.
zt should make a CF or G10 sprint run.

The 0456 beats the 0808, no contest.
The 0801 heavy? Seriously? My BW weighs 5.9 oz. If that weight is enough to gripe about...well, never mind. The 0456 weighs more; but, I'd pick that over the 0801 every day of the week, too. (I don't dislike the 0801, not by a long shot; but if there was a longer version of the 0456, I'd sell my 0801 in a heartbeat.)
I'm intrigued by the 0801Ti; but not enough so to spend money on it right now (recently purchased a Steelcraft Bodega, Hinderer MP-1, and CKF SSE...and have a Olamic 247 on order - I'm not opening my wallet for a while unless it's for something special)

FWIW, I have a 5 oz rule. Obviously I thought the 0801 was worth breaking the rules. No regrets! --:D

What do you have against the 808?

I would have bought more zt's if they made them in cf. They are just to heavy and I don't like that and I already own most of the ones made in cf. They don't mill out the ti scales that often while other brands do.

My 0562cf is awesome. I don't even care that it's a Lil hefty it's got a nice action and looks great. Hinderer's got great ergos too

Lots of great info and photos here guys! Thanks to everyone for taking time to post.

Also an update I had decided to go ahead and just get an 0900 too ....then it happened..... the hinderer half track flashed across the computer screen, then the non stop digging through half track threads began until I decided it was meant to be. Back on the 'ol USA MADE BLADE website I go and be damned if there wasn't a huge selection to choose from. The worst thing for my knife addiction is a slow midnight shift and access to the internet. Now I will be able to irritate my wife twice as much with a flipper in each hand :)

What do you have against the 808?
Not a thing...it was my only "must have" that year, and I bought it as soon as it was available - even though it was only a 3.25 inch blade. (Okay, I guess I have that against it, at least a little; but I have that same issue with the 0456).
The 0456 just beats it, across the board (for me). Specifically, in the context of that post, it is a better flipper - better action, and more consistent. I think most people's objection to it is based primarily that it is "chunky"; but that's what I like best about it. It fills my hand better. I don't care about the weight (iirc, it weighs 6.4 oz), if anything I put that on the pro side. I like a little heft, lol.
Slim, lightweight knives have their place - usually my left front pocket (where I carry a traditional). I'm even considering buying a carbon fiber version of the SG Spider Monkey just because it is lighter than the one I have...but I'm afraid i wouldn't like it as much.
