I have and use 3V. It has proven to be really tough. I have batoned it through logs to make fire kindling, used it for camp chores, and ***gasp*** used it as a mini pry bar. Not a knock on Infi, but Survive! does a fantastic job with their 3V.
I've tested them side-by-side and wasn't able to discern much difference between the two regarding performance. Infi is more corrosion resistant. I use mine in salt water regularly. 3V seems to take a keener edge but is harder to sharpen. Infi seems to reach a certain level of sharpness/dullness and not degrade beyond a very useable edge.
Overall, I think it's 6 inches one way and a half a foot on the other. The two steels are very close and both are excellent for hard use/abuse. Overall, I give INFI the nod based on it's corrosion resistance and ease of sharpening.
@Resinguy: Pull the trigger on one, you won't be disappointed. If you don't like it, they are like Busse's, you can almost always recover your money on the secondary market.
