what's your favorite large stockman??

I like the blade etch on this large Boker from the 1970s.

My favorite large stockman would have to be the Case 6375 I have in amber bone/cv steel. It was one of the first better quality knives that I bought, and still among the best I own. I'm 6'-3" tall and weigh about 240, so the "large" knives fit my big ham hands a LOT better than the little bitty dressy knives do. I cannot handle a knife much shorter than 3-1/4", can't get but two fingers on the handle. I like the medium stockmans too, have a Queen amber stag bone #9 that is right nice. Bought it just before Christmas and haven't gotten to use it much, but it is a good one.

Got a 6375 in my pocket right now. Good knife.

I like my Buck 307 Wrangler. Big strong knife.

But my favourite is the Schrade 8OT that I love to carry - it is just so well-built.

The Camillus Rough Cut tobacco stockmen are good as well, but they are not the biggest I have seen.

:)

I'm new to this knife model but I'm really pleased with my CASE 6318:thumbup:

Amber Bone one of THE nicest scales too:D

I am partial to Eye and Buck Creek 4 1/4-inch Stockmans. Their master blades are a bit longer than those of most other brands.

My favorite is this large (4 3/8") Case 8340, made by Queen for SMKW back in the mid 90s.

I am with you on the Schrade 8OT. I wish I had had a crystal ball and stocked up. (You don't suppose that the "new Chinese" Schrade could be enticed to offer carbon steel knives in addition to their stainless steel models? IMHO that could ease the sting of losing the "old American" Schrades.)

Great thread RR. Sweet Stockmans and Stock variations submitted here. Many of you all know already my affinity for this traditional pattern and so I just cannot come up with one favorite, but I recon this comes close..

Vintage Queen City with no pattern number or other markings in old Rogers Bone, 4 inches closed.
