What's your favorite mini? (under 3")?

I really like my Bestech Pebble. Just under 3 inch blade, good flipper action, VG-10. A little unusual looking. Just over your budget, and discontinued but still available.

I generally don't go under 3.5" blade length. Besides SAKs and other traditionals, those are my exceptions.

Other than slip joints, this one.

It’s way above your price goal but you should at least look at the new 1.8” Zero Tolerance and Tim Galyean 0022 flipper. It’s much less money than the small Sebenza others have suggested.

Hope you find the knife that’s right for you.

Ka-bar Dozier is a great sub 3" knife and one of my very favorites. I have given away and have had more of them "stolen" from me then any other knife I have ever owned. At about $20 . They are inexpensive and and all around a wonderful knife to own.

Ok so it's right at 3". Heres the spec sheet.

Still a big fan of my Benchmade mini grip.
The Mini Grip is a very cool knife !
Feels solid and weighty.
A very satisfying knife in hand.
(that from someone who is currently EDCing a Native 5 in Maxamet.
I wish the Maxamet was in the Mini Grip.
To be honest I wish my Mini Grip dropped as well as my Native 5.
Can't have every thing.)

That said I can second the Native 5 . . . in Maxamet. I am extremely happy with the Alloy and with the build quality of my Native 5. About a hundred and twenty dollars beyond the OP's max though.

I don't really own that many sub 3 inch knives so it quickly comes down to two choices.
The Giantmouse Ace Biblio, or the Giantmouse Ace Iona.

The Biblio takes it tho, because of the micarta handles.

no one has mentioned the kershaw leek yet, it's likely the smallest 3" folder you can find and the blade ergos are really top notch

Under three inches? It's going to be the Delica, hands down.

Hard to beat a Spydie Delica considering the cost and functionality. I consider knives in the 2.75">3.25" blade size range to be medium sized knives and not "mini's" unless it's a fixed blade. This is generally the size I favor with modern folding knives.

My smallest "mini" is actually the blade of a Swiss Army Victorinox Alox money clip. It works great in a pinch for all those small jobs, when I don't happen to have my EDC handy. I do have a 2.2" Sanrenmu folder that's quite nice for the price. Axis lock. Not a flipper, but will flip open if the lock pin is held back. But I've lately been itching for something a little better. Ideally I'd like to stay at under $50, but if there's a really great discount for something a little higher, I'd go for that. I just don't want to repeat mid-grade steel. 440C would be about the low end limit. VG-10 up to 154CM. I'd consider CPM S35VN if a really good deal. Appearance wise, I'd love stone wash. Not black coated. Attractive scales. Good clip with low pocket carry. Any thoughtful suggestions appreciated. Thanks!

Save up another $12 and get a Spyderco Dragonfly 2.

Outstanding knife that is as easy to carry in pocket as well as clipped to it.
