What's your favorite Mora?

My Moras (crappy pic)

The second one from the top is my favorite, because the blade is not too short not too long (4 1/4 inches) and because the handle fits my hand perfect.
After that it would be the Clipper and the laminated one on the bottom.
Actually the Mora 2000 is very comfortable also, the river knife is also comfortable i'm just not crazy about double guards.
I do like the Triflex Craftsman but i find the guard to be just a bit to long. Hmmm i guess i like them all.lol!
Number 2 and number 6 are "kit" mora blades. Assembled very quickly with no great finesse but very functional and solid.
The wood in number 2 is from an old cutting board i almost threw out. I believe in recycling, lol!
Number 6 has a maple handle and it may seem really short but is actually hand-filling and comfortable.

I ordered one of the yellow double guarded knives last year and could never get used to the top guard. It really got in the way of my thumb so I never really used it. I was able to give it to my cousin and he seems to like it.

The M2K is my favorite. It cuts like crazy and holds an edge forever.

Nice pics nad sheaths EastR.

My favorite is my High Q all around in carbon. Fits my hand like it was made for it and is just the right size. The sheath also works pretty well for me to when suspended from my neck with para cord.

Mora Classic #1 and #510 for me. I think the blades are just right in these two and the handles are great.

Wow, I really like this. Could you tell us more about it? I'd really like to fix my mora up like this, any suggestions?

Hey longbow,

I know that you've posted before about your appreciation of the 2000. I have 4 or 5 different Moras, but I don't have a 2000. Is it a good carver for things like trap triggers, fire boards, etc.?

Doc

Hi Doc,

I have the Mora 2000 and I don't like it so much. I prefer the classic Scandi blades. For me, the Clipper is the best Mora knife.

You will need Mora blade(100 carbon ??)two (leftover) pieces of amboina, and piece of curly birch, some vulcanized fiber, litlle bit of careful drilling, sawing and sanding, strong 2-component epoxy and that's it..finished with carnauba wax.
Have fun,i did.

hey guys,

Figured i'd resurrect this thread, I'm new to this forum but i've been roaming around it for months now.

My favorite knife in my collection is my Classic #1. The blade length is perfect for me and the handle is comfy. I get the least amount of blisters after a day of carving stuff with this knife.

I made the sheath myself, as you can probably tell. It's not pretty but it works great, it has the OE plastic sheath lining the inside so it doesnt poke through and kill me if I trip over a rock or something lol

I've been realy happy with my 711 craftline allaround in carbon steel the handle, blade steel, and price are all good with this one.

the newer Craftline All-Around. Much like a clipper but longer tang and slightly thicker blade. Same laser sharpness and worry free toughness and weather resistance.

I'm a big fan of the new Companion myself. Seems to be the replacement for the Clipper.
