Greetings all, I have to book a continuing ed trip in March, and I have lost my past faves bookmarked in my last pooter that crapped out.
What are your favorite online travel arrangement sites? I will need to arrange both airfare and hotel. For the life of me, I cannot remember which one I liked best.

Thank you in advance for your answers,
Mongo

I use these two when I need to book a flight, hotel, or car. I have never had a problem with service from either and their prices are usually around the same. Booked 2 trips to Blade with Orbitz and 1 with Expedia.

Hotwire is the cheapest, but there is a gamble. With Hotwire, you don't actually know the exact hotel or car rental company, until after you've committed with your credit card. You pick a location, star rating for the hotel, or the type of car and book it. As soon as you confirm, you find out your hotel or car rental company. I don't believe you can change or cancel either. None of this has mattered to me in the past, and I've used Hotwire with great success. Each time, I ended up with better than I figured I would.

I was reading an article the other day, All of the travel sites are owned by 3 companies and the price you get will be within about $3 either way of all the other sites.
In other words, If you go to one site and find a price of $195 you will find the other sites are between $192 and $198. Hotwire is the wildcard but the catch is you must pay before you know what you are buying. The article said your best bet for hotels is to call the hotel's 800 number and ask about specials.
