What's your favorite restaurant?

Twin Peaks, where it's hard to decide which is better, the food or the scenery!

The Round Table Pizza by my old college. Friends behind the counter throwing on a little extra topping. Free jukebox. College girls. Pitcher of good dark beer was a dollar. Legal drunk driving limit was 0.15 instead of 0.08.

These days, Izzy's Steak House.

Airport Diner @ Bremerton Airport here in Port Orchard, WA.. Best Breakfast I've ever had, well except for when I'm camp cooking. Second is Whiskey Creek Steakhouse just out side Keyport Naval Undersea Warfare Center for Prime Rib and Mac & Jacks African Amber Ale.
In the past it was a place called the Wagon Wheel in Desert Hot Springs, CA.. Best Steak I've ever had.

Hi md02geist -

My favorite is Sky Harbor Steak House in Peoria, Illinois.

It is a nice, small place with friendly service.

They serve the best steaks anywhere, sizzling on a metal plate, with your choice of potato.

Simple, and delicious.

My wife and I are filet mignon freaks, and this place has been our favorite for over 20 years.

best regards -

It may be heretical, but for my money Rioz Brazilian Steakhouse in Myrtle beach is better than Fogo's in Atlanta.

Sushi Ran in Sausalito w/ TonyG. Sushi and Saki like I've never tasted.

Buffalo Wild Wings every Thursday for lunch. :) Something to look forward to during the work week.

And of course, Fogo every June.:thumbup: MEAT COMA!!!

Alice's.

;)

(ok, ok... Fogo de Chao, AKA "FOGOS"...the one in Atlanta! :D:thumbup:)

"Shrink, You can get anything you want, at Alice's restaurant."

Great time to be had by all:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Pho Than brothers in Tacoma Washington and vihn loi's in Reseda California. The Than brothers restaurant doesn't make "the best" pho on earth, but it's really consistent, really simple, and really cheap. It's like going home for soup every time I eat there. Vign Loi's has the best extra's out of any vegan/vegetarian Vietnamese place I've eaten. Even though the pho is a little bland at times, the rau cau and taro sticky buns are unbelievable.

I'm also a fan of Diamond Ethopia in Chicago Illinois.

We don't eat out as much as we used to, and try to spend the money in locally owned places. Cleveland always had a large Eastern European immigrant population (at one time it was the largest Hungarian city in the world after Budapest), but in the last twenty years has enjoyed a wave of Asian immigration. So now we can enjoy Indian, Malaysian, Thai, Nepalese, Cambodian, and Vietnamese.

Hey Jimmy, thanks for reminding me; it's been years since we've been to the Ethiopian place and sopped up the ber ber sauce with injera.

Around here we have our chain favorites such as Applebees, Old Spaghetti Factory, Olive Garden, Gustav's but when it comes to really good food we have a few local places we really like. When we go out it is usually with the kids so we tend take their pallets into account along with cost.

There is a little place we really like called Jerusalem Cafe that makes really awesome mediterranean food. Mexico Lindo's for Mexican, McMenamins for pub food and the Mars Inn for Chinese; they make this sesame beef that just melts in the mouth. There a a couple a good Thia restaurants in town but no pho or really great teriyaki.

Still trying to find a good locally owned place for Italian in Vancouver.

If we cross the river into Portland there are many great restaurants. Marrakesh for Moroccan, Macaroni Grill for Italian, Benni Hanna's for Asian, Du's Grill for Teriyaki (little mom & pop place), Kells, and there are lots of brew pubs. There are many places I would like to try but time and money (and little kids) make it tough to get to our favorites let alone try out places we haven't had a chance to try.

My favorite restaurant is Ruth's Chris. The meal I look forward to the most all year, is the Busse Dinner on Saturday Night of the Blade Show. I don't get there early enough, on Friday, to go to Fogo's.
