Like currently making them?? About a year ago I know Tim said they’d do it but had not heard or seen it come to fruitionThey are making 21 blades in Magnacut. Call them Monday. Your dreams may come true.

I could be wrong, but I believe they were doing a run of 21 re-blades in Magnacut. I’m not sure on timeline and or if they did them and they are long gone or have yet to do them. Their backlog tells me they prob still have yet to be made but I’m not sure.Like currently making them?? About a year ago I know Tim said they’d do it but had not heard or seen it come to fruition
This was the email.
Thank you for reaching out. We do not have any blade replacements available for the large Sebenza 21 at the moment. We will be running a batch of Magnacut blades for the Sebenza 21 but we do not have any real dates or timelines as to when that will happen as it cold be another 9 months or more. If you have any other questions please let me know.
Thank you,
Nolan B.

Thanks Sir! I knew there was a convo about it but couldn’t remember when it happened lolThat was June 2023 I think
I actually did talk to them about that. It was in the plans but they had no clue when it could happen, and sounded to me like it would after they caught up. And, they are years behind so, I aint gonna hold my breath lol. They are making 21 blades in Magnacut. Call them Monday. Your dreams may come true.
But but…isn’t the 31 the perfect knife ? Im sure I read somewhere around here that the 31 was perfectIf I could put the Magnacut insingo blade from my 31 in my 21 frame, it would be about perfect.

That’s why choices are good and there’s nothing wrong with yours.I was really sceptical untill I got my 2023 31, was even part of the hysterical "lock rock" thread screaming out my frustration before I even tried the knife.
I'm now a great fan of the fine tuned 31, ceramic lock interface, hardened stop pin, more robust detent etc etc. Nothing wrong with the 21, but if I could choose between a 31 n a 21, lets even say both have MC steel, I pick the 31 10/10 times.

Honestly, the only qualm I have with my 31 is I haven’t been able to get it to be as smooth as my 21. That’s it. Nothing about lock rock, ceramic ball, or anything else technical. My old one just feels better.I was really sceptical untill I got my 2023 31, was even part of the hysterical "lock rock" thread screaming out my frustration before I even tried the knife.

I’ve carried mostly it for several months now and played a lot. Polished the washers, bead blasted the washer surfaces (to match what I did to refurb my 21), and used the same grease. I give up. I’m just using it lol.Yeah, after I thightened the pivot all the way, mine was pretty stiff too and took some time to break in. But now it's done and if not as smoothe as my 21s, its very very nice.

I think the lock bar tension and ceramic ball interface have more to do with the stiffness than the washers for the 31. I say this because I too have lapped and polished the washers on a brand new one and experimented with better greases. Got it to the point where it was completely drop shut on the washers. Smooth as silk. But with me holding off the lock bar. Once I let the lock bar re-engage, the stiffness returned. So that essentially took the washers out of the equation. Sure, it made it a bit smoother, but I think the main thing is the lock bar detent needing time to wear a nice smooth groove, as I have seen with some of the 31s with more use. Just my observations. I'm by no means a CRK expert.
You missed two things. The poll is quite rigged, unfortunately. It doesn't allow anyone to pick the 31 in earnest. It only chastises them for even considering the 31. It's more a point piece than an actual poll, and also a missed opportunity to capture meaningful data from the community.
