what's your favorite slippy pattern?

This is not a fair question to me & I'm sure others here too

Medium Stockman. Once I learned what each blade was for, and then inheriting one from my grandfather, it will probably always be my favorite.

thx - cpr

Two-blade jack. Why? Not exactly sure .......... probably has something to do with watching Grandad use his over the years.

I carry a Medium Stockman religiously but my favorite is the Large Stockman. Makes a lot of sense, huh?

As for why, I like having three blades. The blade shapes are versatile and the overall shape is just more appealing to me than say, a Congress or or other slippy with 3+ blades. Just personal choice. Nothing sentimental.

Medium stockman. Not sure why, blade crunks, good combination of blades. A whittler has the same blades, but it's just not as appealing to me.

Trappers and Copperheads. I like the aesthetics and having two blades. I usually use one blade more than another or reserve them for specific tasks.

Still hoping to find one of those BIG Case Saddlehorns with the HUGE spey blade.

My fav would be either a medium or large stockman. I enjoy having the versitality of three blades, and it's what I always saw my father and grandfather use, so there's some sentimentality in there as well.

As far as my overall favorite I will have to go with a two blade teardrop jack, but I am really starting to like the Moose I have been carrying. I may have to get a few more soon.

I keep getting drawn back to the toothpick. It was the first/only pattern I tried to collect by pattern, instead of just buying whatever struck my fancy. I think I like it because it's somewhat different than most others. I do miss the utility of multiple blades, but then, that's why I usually have a Vic Classic SD with me, too.

Today it's a Schatt & Morgan F&W #15 medium toothpick:

Favorite overall is a large texas toothpick, but have to admit it's difficult to carry. Favorite pattern for function a large stockman.

Trapper and saddle horn. Because they are the best feeling in my hand and that means a lot too me. The saddle horn doesn't have as good a feel as the trapper, but I still like the way the curve sits in my palm. And I can find a trapper anywhere that I like in three sizes. Never had trouble finding the right trapper.
