Whats your favorite Split Joint model to carry as an EDC?

These and my good ol' SAKs...

My Favorite EDC slipjoint would be either my TC Barlow, Vic Cadet, or Vic Farmer. I usually have two of the three on me, but lately a Vic Spartan and an Explorer have been getting some edc use as well. I like SAKs for edc quite a bit.

The Explorer has been one of my favs for over 25 years! Has everything I really want/use in a nice compact SAK!

I like the old Champions and Swiss Champs too but seldom EDC them unless I can throw them into a daypack. :D

Like most I carry/rotate more than one. This one has been with me 100% for the last week.

This one, a Tom's Choice (GEC Tidioute) single clip blade barlow in antique amber:

Or, as I "phrased" it in response to another query:
...I usually do carry (at least) two knives with me every day.

My Daily Pair almost always consists of one knife from Pile A...

... and one knife from Pile B:

(No knives were dropped, dinged, allowed to slide into one another, or otherwise harmed in the posing of "Pile B." ;))

   Ok....now my heart is beating regularly again....that was a close one!

Great pile P! :D

I have carried a pocketknife of one pattern or another for 60 years or so, and keep coming back to the serpentine stockman pattern. I found this old Schrade on an auction site a couple of years ago, and it's been my favorite ever since.

interesting question.
i have perhaps a couple dozen knives which is comparatively modest around here, i think. certainly some get carried less than others for one reason or another. and theres certainly a knife i would pick if i could only have one but that is not what the op is asking.
among the more frequently carried knives there doesnt seem to be a clear winner. so i guess i dont have a favorite.

This one is always in my pocket, usually along with others :D My favourite knife for cutting heavy leather.

Have a great day folks.

AG Russell Rancher has become my favorite EDC (Kind of amazing since I never thought I would settle on a favorite EDC and like most I have at least 100 candidates to choose from!). I have the Rancher in all four of the scale options and I rotate between them daily, but the pattern has just become my "It" knife.

Jeff (black mamba), what's the knife on the left in your pic? Did you mod the spear point into a clip point on a Eureka Jack? I think from past posts you and I both have an appreciation of "jack" knives with both nail nicks on the mark side, and a clip main and shorter sheepsfoot/coping secondary. At any rate, whatcha got is looking good!

You are right on, coyote. I bought the spear in the Northfield line specifically because it had more room between the pull and the tip for the clip mod.
I actually put this one in my pocket this morning, and have it on me still. I also rounded the top edge of the coping a little.

Great job on the mod, Jeff! It looks just as good close up as it does from afar - thanks for the additional pic!
